The festive atmosphere, coupled with the rhythmic sounds of traditional Mexican music, enhances the festive spirit of the journey, making it a must-visit for those exploring the World Showcase. The ride area also features a stunning restaurant, the San Angel Inn Restaurant.

While the area is usually known for being festive and calming, that was not the case for riders and diners yesterday. In a sudden announcement, all visitors to the area were suddenly rushed out of the building, causing panic and tension for some.

What Happened at EPCOT?

One guest took to social media to look for clarification after this startling incident. After being evacuated from the area, they posted:

“Epcot Mexico building

I was in line for fiesta tour when they closed the ride then had everyone leave the building. Anyone hear what going on or happen?”

This entire ordeal is truly perplexing, leading to other sources to chime in. Adding to the confusion, another guest responded with a troubling account of their own experience, saying:

“My parents are there right now and said they had ordered food at the Mexican restaurant but had to be evacuated before they got their meals, with no explanation.”

Disney has not yet released an official statement regarding the reason behind the evacuation, leading to further speculation among guests about potential kitchen fires or ride issues.

While evacuations at theme parks are not uncommon, especially during peak times or in response to unforeseen issues, the sudden nature of this incident has left many wondering about their safety and the protocols in place.

Walt Disney World Resort and EPCOT are known for their commitment to guest safety, and it is expected that management was able to address this incident promptly. The affected attractions and dining experiences are expected to resume operations today as usual.
