Epic Universe Holiday Overhaul: Universal Reveals New 2026 Christmas Experiences

More details have officially been revealed for Epic Universe’s 2026 Christmas celebration. And Universal is really stepping up its holiday offerings!

After celebrating its first holiday season in 2025, Universal’s newest theme park is preparing for an even bigger Christmas experience. Several themed lands will welcome new decorations, seasonal food, and merchandise, while other areas will bring back familiar holiday favorites.

The expansion means guests who visited Epic Universe last Christmas could find some noticeably different experiences when they return.

With Universal’s holiday celebration beginning November 14, here’s what the resort has confirmed for Epic Universe’s second Christmas season.

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Gets a Fresh Look

One of the biggest changes coming to Epic Universe this holiday season involves SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.

For the first time, Universal will decorate the Nintendo-themed land for Christmas, bringing seasonal touches to the colorful environments inspired by Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and other familiar characters.

Guests who have explored the land before already know that SUPER NINTENDO WORLD features plenty of bright colors, interactive environments, and recognizable locations from the video games.

Now, Universal plans to introduce Christmas decorations that fit naturally into that setting.

The holiday additions will extend across the land, including Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country.

And decorations aren’t the only new offering.

Universal has also confirmed themed seasonal food, giving visitors something different to try while exploring the Nintendo-inspired world.

For guests returning after visiting during Christmas 2025, this will be one of the most noticeable differences at Epic Universe.

But another popular land is preparing for its own expanded celebration.

Another Land Expands Its Holiday Celebration

Universal is also bringing more Christmas festivities to How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.

Rather than relying on traditional holiday decorations alone, the land will celebrate Snoggletog, the Viking-inspired winter holiday familiar to fans of the How to Train Your Dragon franchise.

The 2026 celebration will introduce a fuller collection of Snoggletog decorations throughout Berk, building on the holiday atmosphere guests experienced during the park’s first Christmas season.

Universal also plans to offer seasonal merchandise, giving visitors additional ways to celebrate the occasion.

Specialty food and beverages will be part of the festivities as well.

Together, these additions will make Snoggletog a bigger part of the land’s holiday experience.

Guests who explored Berk last year should find new decorations and seasonal details throughout the village.

And while these two lands are receiving expanded offerings, Universal isn’t forgetting the Christmas experiences that guests enjoyed during Epic Universe’s first holiday season.

Celestial Park Brings Back Its Christmas Displays

Celestial Park will once again become one of Epic Universe’s main destinations for holiday decorations.

Located at the heart of the theme park, Celestial Park connects guests to the different themed worlds while offering gardens, fountains, and impressive architecture.

During the Christmas season, Universal will bring back its cosmic winter wonderland.

Guests can expect twinkling Christmas trees and festive displays surrounding the Cosmos Fountain.

The decorations will blend with Celestial Park’s existing design, creating a holiday atmosphere that looks different from the more traditional Christmas settings elsewhere at Universal Orlando.

Visitors exploring the park after sunset will also have the opportunity to see the illuminated decorations.

Celestial Park isn’t the only returning holiday experience, either.

Christmas Returns to the Wizarding World

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic will also welcome Christmas back in 2026.

Universal has confirmed that festive lighting and seasonal decorations will return to the themed environment.

The land takes guests through wizarding Paris and the British Ministry of Magic, featuring detailed settings inspired by the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises.

During the holidays, decorations will add another festive element to those environments.

For returning visitors, the seasonal touches offer another reason to explore The Wizarding World of Harry Potter during Christmas.

And Epic Universe is only part of Universal Orlando Resort’s larger holiday celebration.

More Christmas Favorites Return Across Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando Resort’s holiday festivities will run from November 14, 2026, through January 3, 2027.

At Universal Islands of Adventure, Grinchmas will return to Seuss Landing, including the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular.

The live show brings together the Grinch, the Whos of Who-ville, and music inspired by the familiar Christmas story.

Over at Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s will also return.

Guests can expect enormous character balloons, colorful floats, performers, and appearances from familiar Universal characters.

With expanded celebrations at Epic Universe and returning traditions throughout the resort, Universal Orlando is preparing to give guests even more ways to celebrate Christmas in 2026.
