Universal Reveals Major Update on Epic Universe’s Express Pass – Here’s What You Need to Know!

The wait is almost over! Universal’s Epic Universe is just a month away from opening its doors, and the excitement surrounding the new theme park is palpable. With its stunning new lands dedicated to beloved franchises like How to Train Your Dragon, Harry Potter, and SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Epic Universe is shaping up to be one of Universal’s most ambitious parks yet.

However, alongside the thrilling new attractions, there’s a significant announcement for those planning to visit — especially those looking to skip the lines and make the most of their visit.

Universal has officially confirmed some exciting news about the Express Pass system at Epic Universe, and it’s bound to make a huge difference for visitors eager to experience the park in its opening months.

Here’s everything you need to know about the updated Express Pass policies.

Universal’s announcement about the Express Pass system is especially significant for Premier Annual Passholders. While it’s been confirmed that Epic Universe tickets will need to be purchased separately by Annual Passholders (and not added to their existing pass just yet), there’s still a perk for them.

Premier Annual Passholders who purchase a ticket to Epic Universe will be able to use their Universal Express after 4 p.m. perk. This is a fantastic option for those looking to experience the park during peak hours, especially when the crowds are at their largest.

However, there’s more:

  • Guests visiting Epic Universe who do not have a Premier Pass will still be able to purchase Universal Express.
  • It’s important to note that not all attractions will be included in the Express Pass program for the time being.

These attractions include:

  • Mine-Cart Madness: The highly anticipated new roller coaster in Super Nintendo World.
  • Dragon Racers Rally: A thrilling experience located in the How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk area.
  • Harry Potter Battle at the Ministry: A key attraction in the Harry Potter land.

As Epic Universe prepares to open, there’s no doubt that the park will be packed with visitors eager to experience the new attractions. With limited capacity and high demand, the introduction of Universal Express at the new park is a significant step in ensuring guests can maximize their time.

However, guests should be aware that, like at other Universal parks, the Universal Express Pass will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Epic Universe will officially open on May 22, 2025, and tickets are already available for purchase. Whether you plan to visit for a day or make it part of a longer vacation, you’ll want to secure your spot and consider adding the Universal Express to your ticket to make the most of your experience.

With the opening of Epic Universe just around the corner, the excitement is building, and guests from all over will be flocking to experience the park’s amazing new attractions. Will you be among the first to visit? Or will you wait a bit for the crowds to thin?
