Elio Is in Theaters, Here’s How Disney Parks Are Celebrating

Pixar’s newest film, Elio, is now lighting up the big screen and bringing cosmic fun to Disney Parks on both coasts. This heartwarming sci-fi adventure tells the story of Elio, an imaginative 11-year-old boy who unexpectedly becomes Earth’s ambassador to the Communiverse, a galactic organization made up of eccentric alien civilizations. With the planet’s fate in his hands, Elio must learn what it truly means to belong.

The film features the voice talents of Yonas Kibreab as Elio, Guardians of the Galaxy star Zoe Saldaña as his aunt Olga, plus Jameela Jamil and Brad Garrett in key alien roles. Full of humor, emotion, and out-of-this-world visuals, Elio is about identity, bravery, and making your own place in the universe.

Celebrate Elio Through Park Experiences

Disney is bringing Elio to life in immersive and imaginative ways throughout the parks, especially at Walt Disney World. Here’s where to find the fun:

Galactic Blast at Tomorrowland

At Magic Kingdom, Tomorrowland’s Rocket Tower Plaza Stage is now home to Galactic Blast, a space-themed DJ dance party that’s part of the Cool Kid Summer lineup. With upbeat music and high-energy performances, this party is a blast for families, and you never know who might make a surprise appearance.

This shop has been transformed into Elio’s Guide to an Intergalactic Adventure, where guests can scan a “postcard to space” and pose with exclusive backdrops featuring Elio and his alien companions. It’s a fun, air-conditioned photo spot with plenty of interstellar charm.

Elio Floats at Auntie Gravity’s

Right next door at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, you’ll find a limited-time treat: the Elio Float. This colorful, non-alcoholic float is made with Sprite, purple shimmer, fruit-flavored boba pearls, creamy vanilla soft-serve, gold star sprinkles, and a tangy blue raspberry sour straw. Available through September 1, 2025, it’s a refreshing way to taste the movie magic.
