Driver Reported Drunk Before Nightfall at Magic Kingdom, Police on the Road

A call about a possibly intoxicated motorist sent law enforcement toward the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Contemporary Resort area at Walt Disney World Resort on Thursday, just as the afternoon was winding down. Early details are limited, but nothing so far indicates that anyone was hurt.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office received the report at 5:24 p.m. on October 15. The Central Florida scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime passed along the public information on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing:

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 10/15/26 5:24 PM
🚨: Drunk Driver at 📍: Disney’s Magic Kingdom / Contemporary Area

The post included a Google Maps image with a pin on World Drive, the road connecting the Deluxe Disney Resort hotel and the original Central Florida Disney park. Emergency calls throughout this zone are routinely logged under that same address, so the pin shouldn’t be read as the spot where the driver was first seen. The actual location of the law enforcement response could be anywhere in the surrounding area.

What Happened Next Is Unclear

Whether deputies found or stopped the driver hasn’t been made public. The good news is that no crashes were reported in the area after the initial response, so the situation doesn’t appear to have escalated.

Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t issued a statement about the report. More information could surface if the sheriff’s office publishes a police report or files charges.

At the time of publication, no road closures or traffic problems had been reported. Disney transportation, including buses, boats, and the Monorail, seemed to be operating normally, so visitors heading to or from the Magic Kingdom should be able to keep to their plans.
