Disney’s Most Romantic Meals for Valentine’s Day

Ahhh…. l’amour! Valentine’s Day is coming, and if you ask us, there’s no better place to spend at Walt Disney World, especially if a romantic dinner for two is on the agenda. There are so many positively swoon-worthy restaurants to choose from that it would be impossible to contain them all in one article. However, a few stand out above the rest. Take a look at a few of our favorite spots for a romantic dinner this Valentine’s Day:

California Grill

Rooftop dining with a castle view- does it get any more romantic than that? If you time it right, it does, California Grill boasts fantastic food, and perhaps the best fireworks view at Walt Disney World. Located in the Contemporary Resort, this upscale dining establishment is a Disney classic. For a more relaxed date, book a table during their weekly Sunday Brunch! The experience is positively unforgettable.

Romance Factor: ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ambiance: Simple and sophisticated.

Reason to love it: The food here is stand out, and the view is breathtaking.

Up the Romance: If a proposal is on the agenda, book a late evening dinner and finish just before the fireworks. Move to the outside viewing area and pop the question just as the fireworks go off!

Monsieur Paul

Monsieur Paul

As far as date nights go, it doesn’t get much more traditional than fine French cuisine. This signature dining restaurant at Epcot bears the name of world-famous Chef Paul Bocuse, one of the three Chefs who opened the restaurant. The menu is more upscale than you’ll find downstairs at Le Chefs de France, and you’ll find a much quieter dining room as well. The service here is world-class. From start to finish the attentiveness and formality of the staff will spoil you.

Romance Factor: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ambiance: Classic and Opulent

Reason to love it: Luxury just oozes from this restaurant. If you want to make your special someone feel like a Prince or Princess… this is the place!

Up the Romance: Book one of the latest reservations you can. The restaurant is small by Disney standards, and snagging a reservation just before the Park closes can make the whole experience feel like an intimate private meal.

Jiko

If trying new things is up your alley, then Jiko is where you want to go! Lively African dishes are paired with exquisite wines at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, making this an ideal date night! Aside from the food, which is enough to set this restaurant apart, the design of this restaurant is truly unique! The African Savanna inspires the decor, and the lighting even changes as the evening progresses to mimic an African sunset.

Romance Factor: ❤️❤️❤️

 Ambiance: Stylish and modern

Reason to Love it: this restaurant boasts the most extensive collection of African Wines in the country!

Up the Romance: Arrive with enough time to go out to the observation decks. Sweeping views of the Savanna and animals add an element of adventure to your date!

Victoria and alberts

Victoria and Alberts

As Orlando’s only AAA 4-star restaurant (and one that certainly would earn a Michelin Star were it not ineligible due to location), this restaurant is the pinnacle of Walt Disney World Dining! Located in the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, the Victorian Era decor and formality of the waitstaff only add to the opulence of this meal. It is truly fine dining in every sense of the word. From start to finish, this meal feels indulgent, making it a perfect once-in-a-lifetime date night. Pro Tip: their pressed coffee service is second to none. If you are a coffee lover, you won’t want to miss it!

Romance Factor: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ambiance: The decor here draws inspiration from the Victorian era. Despite its recent remodel, the atmosphere is very formal.

Reason to love it: It doesn’t get more elegant than this. This restaurant is on par with any fine dining establishment in the world.

Up the Romance: Book a stay and spa treatment at the Grand Floridian. Indulge yourself in a pampering spa experience, followed by a leisurely meal, and then cap the night off by staying in the luxurious hotel and sleeping in the following day.

 Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue

I know what you’re thinking. What. The. Heck. is this one doing on the list? Hear me out: Hoop-Dee-Doo is hilarious! If that doesn’t top your list of romantic experiences, it should. Laughter promotes bonding and eases stress and anxiety. It also releases oxytocin- which is sometimes called the love hormone, because your body releases it when you’re with the one you love. That butterfly feeling? That’s oxytocin. That, in our mind, makes Hoop-Dee-Doo the perfect date night for a new relationship or for couples wanting to get back to the basics. It is also an excellent option for those who simply don’t like a lot of pretense and formality. Besides- dinner and a show are almost, by their very definition, classic date night activities, right? Here you get both in one spot!

Romance Factor: ❤️❤️

Ambiance: Informal with a frontier/ western feel

Reason to love it: the show is hilarious, and the food is terrific. Aaaaanand it comes with 2* adult beverages per person!

Up the Romance: I’m going to let you in on a secret: Fort Wilderness is my favorite place to escape the hustle at WDW. It’s laid back and peaceful, and my anxiety just melts. With that in mind, after the show, make time to walk around (preferably hand in hand) and find some rocking chairs on an out-of-the-way porch to sit and talk.

*Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue formerly included all you can drink beer and sangria.  A recent update has limited that to two per person.

This is far from an exhaustive list, just a collection of our favorites. We didn’t even touch on romantic Disney Springs locations, which could be an entire post in itself as there are so many great options. Hopefully, this got your wheels turning, though, and gave you some Valentine’s Day inspiration!
