Aboard Disney Cruise Line’s brand new ship Disney Wish, guests will be able to climb aboard an innovative new water coaster. The AquaMouse has been called Disney’s first ever attraction at sea and for good reason, it combines Disney storytelling with classic cruise ship fun!

On other ships in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet you’ll find the AquaDuck. This classic water coaster allows one to two people per raft to fly down a series of twisty turny water-filled tubes in an adrenaline pumping experience. AquaMouse has taken that concept a step further.

Like Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway before it, this exciting ride takes you into the cartoons. Themed around the Mickey Mouse shorts, there are TWO great ways to experience this attraction. The first is called “Scuba Scramble” which is a story developed exclusively for the Disney Wish. Throughout the ride you discover our favorite mice have started their own excursion company called “Mickey and Minnie’s Port Misadventures”. You’ll team up with the dynamic duo to explore Mermaid Lagoon. However, with a name like “Misadventure” you know things aren’t going to go as planned. The second story, “Swiss Meltdown” is another original story for the Disney Wish. This story, though, is based on the short “Yodleburg”. You’ll join Mickey and Minnie on a fun sledding adventure, but if you’ve ever seen the shorts, you know that something amiss always happens. The snowy sled trek quickly becomes a downhill plunge as the snow melts and water rushes downhill…fast.

When you enter the raft on AquaMouse, you’ll find yourself not on a water slide, but a conveyor belt of sorts. Your raft then moves along the belt where you’ll get to watch clips from the cartoon right from your raft. In a delightful multisensory experience, soon you find yourself heading down hill on a 760 foot heart pumping water ride that you’ll never forget. There is a height restriction of 42 inches and guests should be free of heart, neck and back problems to experience it.

This attraction is one of a kind and absolutely one of the most innovative concepts at sea, which is fitting for one of the most innovative ships at sea! Are you ready to join Mickey and Minnie on a wacky water adventure?

Jill Bivins has been visiting Disney Parks since she was 2 years old and loves sharing her Disney adventures with the world. She likes to say Disney is in her blood and writing is in her bones — so any time she has the opportunity to combine these loves she is one happy camper! She has a deep abiding love for Epcot and as a die hard Star Wars fan has a serious love for Hollywood Studios as well. When she isn't exploring or writing about Disney Parks, Jill is homeschooling her 8 year old son, playing with her brand new baby son, or pretending to be a farmer on her family homestead (despite being unable to keep even a cactus alive).
