A Friday arrival, dinner in Downtown Disney, and a full Saturday at the parks sounds like an easy Disneyland weekend. If you’re counting on Disney’s new winter hotel discount, though, that itinerary has a problem. Neither of your hotel nights qualifies.
Disneyland Resort is offering up to 20% off select rooms at four Disney hotels on Sunday through Thursday nights from January 4 through February 25, 2027. And there’s a second date to watch if you’re planning a late-February visit. Disney’s official winter hotel offer requires guests to book by February 17 and complete travel by February 26. Disney also says it has set aside a limited number of rooms for the promotion.

Friday and Saturday Nights Are Out of Disneyland’s Winter Hotel Sale
This Disneyland Resort hotel deal comes down to which nights you sleep at the hotel. Check in on Friday and leave on Sunday, and both nights fall outside the promotion. Move the same two-night trip to Sunday and Monday, and both nights can qualify if Disney has an eligible room available. That’s a meaningful difference if your dates are flexible.
The winter discount follows a separate offer featured in our guide to Disneyland’s 2026 holiday season. If you’ve been weighing a holiday trip against a visit after New Year’s, compare each trip on its own dates and rates. The winter promotion starts January 4, and its Sunday-through-Thursday rule can make a short midweek visit worth pricing out, even if you usually go on a weekend.
Start by pricing the trip you actually want, including the nights you’d normally book. Then run the same hotel and room type for a Sunday or Monday arrival. If moving the trip means changing flights, paying for another night, or rearranging a dinner you’ve already booked, factor that in before deciding how much the room deal saves you.

Four Hotels Are Included, From the Grand Californian to Pixar Place
The offer covers Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel. All four also appeared in Disney Dining’s coverage of an earlier resort hotel sale, but the winter offer has its own room and date restrictions. Eligible categories include select standard, premium, and concierge rooms, along with some studios, one-bedroom villas, and suites. Two- and three-bedroom villas are excluded.
Think about where you want to spend your time once you’ve dropped off your bags. If a stop at Trader Sam’s before an evening in Downtown Disney sounds like your kind of arrival day, the Disneyland Hotel is a natural place to start your search. If Pixar Place is on your shortlist, our coverage of Pixar Place Hotel’s guest access changes gives you some context for planning your walk to the parks.
The same goes for the room itself. A studio may suit a couple who plans to be out most of the day, while a family coming back for afternoon breaks may want to price a one-bedroom villa. If your group was counting on a two-bedroom villa to stay together, compare the total for that villa at the regular rate with the cost of booking two eligible rooms. Disney limits the promotion to two rooms per reservation, and occupancy restrictions apply.
The advertised percentage is measured against the regular price for the same stay at the same hotel. Fees and taxes are excluded from the discount, and Disney says the deal can’t be combined with another hotel offer. That last point matters if you’re in the habit of comparing Disney’s public rates with separate Disney Visa cardmember promotions. Compare the totals you’d actually pay, especially if the offers put you in different room categories.

The February 17 Booking Deadline Comes Eight Days Before the Last Eligible Night
Say you want to arrive Sunday, February 21, and leave Friday, February 26. All five nights fall within the promotion’s travel window. Try booking on February 18, however, and you’ve already missed the cutoff, even though your trip hasn’t started. The last eligible night is Thursday, February 25, eight days after bookings close.
February 17 is the last day Disney lists for booking, and the offer can run out of qualifying rooms for a particular hotel or date before then. If you have a late-February trip in mind, check your first-choice property and a backup for the same dates. Then look at what the room leaves in your budget for park tickets and the meal you’ve been looking forward to. That’s a better basis for picking a hotel than the headline percentage alone.
