Disney+ has hit a major milestone, celebrating its fifth anniversary since its groundbreaking launch on November 12, 2019. Entering the competitive streaming world alongside Netflix, Disney+ brought with it a treasure trove of classic films, beloved animated features, and original content, instantly captivating fans across the United States and eventually expanding to a global audience.

From day one, Disney+ offered not just timeless classics like Cinderella (1950) and The Little Mermaid (1989) but also introduced viewers to exclusive, original series that became instant hits. Series like High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and The Mandalorian helped Disney quickly establish a firm foothold in the streaming landscape, catering to both nostalgic fans and a new generation eager for fresh content from the House of Mouse.

Now, five years down the road, Disney+ is commemorating its success with another annual Disney+ Day celebration. While previous years featured special events at Walt Disney World Resort and announcements of upcoming shows, this year Disney is focusing on providing an exclusive treat for its theme park-loving subscribers.

Starting November 13, Disney+ subscribers in the United States can take advantage of a limited-time deal on tickets to Disneyland Resort. For $330, subscribers can purchase a special 3-day ticket valid for use between November 18 and December 27, 2024. However, there are a few important caveats: this offer does not apply to Disney World on the East Coast, and it only covers single-park admission per day—meaning Park Hopper tickets are excluded. Once the first day of entry is used at either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, the remaining days must be used within 13 days or by December 27, whichever comes first.

In addition to discounted park tickets, Disneyland is extending a special offer to guests staying on property. As reported by Fox 11, “Disneyland is also offering a special hotel discount to all Disneyland guests, who can save as much as 15% off on select stays at Disneyland Hotel, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa for stays now through December 18, 2024, subject to availability.” This provides a great opportunity for Disney fans looking to make their holiday trip extra magical.

For those planning to visit Disneyland Resort during the holiday season, there’s even more festive magic to experience. From November 15 through December 27, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will be decked out in holiday cheer. The seasonal festivities include Holiday Fun with Santa & Friends! at the Fantasyland Theatre, the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party at California Adventure, and a new Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail in the Downtown Disney District.

With these exclusive offers and seasonal celebrations, Disney is ensuring that fans have an extra-special way to mark the end of the year.

About Thomas Hitchen

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
