Many attractions have come and gone in that time, but the classics have always stuck around. Rides such as the Haunted Mansion, “it’s a small world,” Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Space Mountain have been around for decades, delighting Guests of all ages.

When attractions reach such an age, it’s not uncommon for the accumulated wear and tear to result in some cosmetic damage or technical difficulties.
It’s not uncommon for these technical difficulties to result in temporary closures. But one Guest recently reported on something incredibly unusual: an emergency evacuation.

In this social media post, they describe waiting in line for the classic Space Mountain roller coaster, getting as close as the loading area before Cast Members hurriedly evacuated the attraction. They describe the situation as feeling “really serious” but also explain that Cast Members said nothing of what was going on.
We were able to do some digging and found that Disneyland Resort has been having many similar issues regarding ride closures, evacuations, and absolutely no information as to why.

Attractions such as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run, and Indiana Jones Adventure all faced similar issues recently.
But as for the reason why? Unfortunately, we don’t know what is causing these closures and evacuations at this time.
