Guests Evacuated as Fire Breaks Out at Popular Disney Restaurant
When thinking about great Disney vacation destinations, many people think of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida or Disneyland Resort in California. However, Disney has four other theme parks around the world — Shanghai Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris. Each one has its own unique vibe, mouthwatering food, fun attractions, and specialty merchandise.
Over the past few years, Disneyland Paris has exploded in popularity. It has been open since 1992, but doesn’t see anywhere near the profits that the other Disney theme parks do. However, this year, it made a record $51 million.
At the Parisian park, one really popular place to eat is the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue, which is located in Frontierland. The quick-service spot serves classic options like Smoked BBQ Chicken, Pork Sausage, and Barbecue Ribs. It is popular not only because of its yummy options, but also because of its reasonable price points.

However, on December 15, startled guests were told that they just quickly evacuate the restaurant and the area. As they shuffled out the door and into Frontierland, black smoke rose into the air and flames shot from the roof of the building.

At this time, we do not know what led to the fire, but DLP Report did note that the restaurant has a large fireplace on the inside. Disney Fanatic will keep readers updated if we learn more.
Thankfully, it looks like the rest of Frontierland remained open and guests were able to enjoy the area. Frontierland in Disneyland Paris is truly unique and not like the Frontierland’s in other Disney Parks.

Big Thunder Mountain is not only a key part of the area, but it actually sits on its own island! And, while the Haunted Mansion is located in Liberty Square at Disney World and New Orleans Square in Disneyland, Phantom Manor is located in the wild west in Paris!
