Overnight, Disney Walled off Character Dining Location Inspired by ‘Cinderella’

Auberge de Cendrillon at Disneyland Park (Paris) is partly hidden behind scaffolding this week. The restaurant is still serving guests, but one of its best-known features, a life-sized replica of Cinderella’s golden carriage, is out of sight.

The work at the Cinderella (1950)-inspired Table-Service restaurant is the latest in a string of roof refurbishments across Fantasyland. In recent years, Disneyland Paris Resort has refreshed the roofs on La Confiserie des Trois Fées, Sir Mickey’s, Au Chalet de la Marionnette, Les Voyages de Pinocchio, and Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains.

The roof on Auberge de Cendrillon was in noticeably poor shape, so it was likely next in line. On Tuesday, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DLPReport confirmed the scaffolding and scrim, posting:

Scaffolding, scrim, and wooden construction barriers now cover the restaurant’s entire courtyard. That includes the golden carriage, which European Disney Park guests would normally see as they approach the entrance.

Despite the heavy construction outside, Auberge de Cendrillon, whose name translates to “Cinderella’s Inn” or “Cinderella’s Lodge,” is open and operating. The Character Dining experience features visits from Disney Princesses and Mickey Mouse, and reservations are highly recommended.

Tables can be booked on the Disneyland Paris Resort website up to two months in advance, or up to a year in advance for guests with a reservation at an eligible Disney Resort hotel.

According to Pixie Dust DLP, protective netting recently appeared on the nearby show building for Peter Pan’s Flight. That suggests the attraction could be the next Fantasyland building to receive a roof refurbishment, though Disneyland Paris Resort hasn’t announced any plans.
