Disneyland Follows Disney World With Major Ticket Strategy Shift for Summer 2026

A Disneyland vacation doesn’t always have to start first thing in the morning. For plenty of visitors, the best part of the day begins after the sun goes down, when the parks are illuminated, nighttime entertainment takes over, and the summer heat starts to fade.

Disneyland Resort is now making those evening visits much more affordable with a brand-new ticket option that could appeal to both vacationers and locals looking for a shorter park day.

For a limited time, guests can purchase a new Evening Ticket starting at just $59, offering admission for the final few hours of the day at either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure.

The promotion is available for visits on Sundays through Wednesdays between July 12 and August 5, 2026. Guests entering Disneyland Park can begin their visit at 7:00 p.m., while those choosing Disney California Adventure may enter starting at 5:00 p.m. Both tickets remain valid until the parks close.

The timing makes this an attractive option for visitors who don’t feel the need to spend an entire day inside the parks. Someone arriving in Anaheim during the afternoon can still enjoy rides, grab dinner, watch nighttime entertainment, and soak in the atmosphere without purchasing a full-price ticket.

It’s also a great fit for travelers who want a slower vacation pace. Rather than rushing out the hotel door early, families can enjoy breakfast, spend time at the pool, or explore other parts of Southern California before heading into Disneyland later that evening.

Summer evenings are also one of the most comfortable times to visit. Temperatures become much more pleasant, the parks look completely different after dark, and many guests consider the nighttime atmosphere one of Disneyland’s biggest draws.

Entertainment can make the ticket an even better value. Depending on the schedule, guests may be able to enjoy favorites like Paint the Night, World of Color, or Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular during their visit.

Disney also appears to be embracing more flexible ticket options overall. Walt Disney World recently introduced an afternoon admission product of its own, allowing guests to enter after 2:00 p.m. Rather than assuming every visitor wants a full day in the parks, Disney is beginning to offer choices that better match different vacation styles.

The new Evening Ticket also arrives at an interesting time. Disneyland has experienced lighter crowds than many expected this summer, and offering a lower-priced evening admission could encourage more guests to visit during slower periods while providing a more affordable alternative for budget-conscious travelers.

Whether you’re planning a full Disneyland vacation or simply looking for a few magical hours in the parks, the new Evening Ticket gives guests another way to experience Disney without committing to an entire day. At just $59, it could end up being one of the best values Disneyland offers this summer.
