A cherished detail of Disneyland Park has been removed after reportedly being vandalized, leaving fans disappointed.

While much of Walt Disney’s original vision remains intact at Disneyland Resort, other aspects of the park have evolved significantly. As Walt himself said, the park will never be complete as long as there’s imagination left in the world – and, as it turns out, there’s still plenty of imagination even 70 years later.

Everyone talks about the major changes, such as the introduction of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Avengers Campus, and the upcoming DisneylandForward plans.

Some changes, however, are more subtle, such as the addition of iconic ride posters in the tunnels beneath the Disneyland Railroad, offering guests a preview of the attractions within the park.

Sadly, one of these posters—which featured the Disneyland Mark VII Monorail—was unexpectedly removed this week.

A guest shared details on Reddit, noting that the space where the poster had hung was empty, and the protective glass shattered after what seemed to be vandalism.

“Vandalism” at Disneyland Park

“Entered the park around 8:45 am today (11/14) and saw cast members gathered around the first attraction photo on the left-hand side,” the guest wrote. “The glass in front of the poster was completely shattered.” The guest speculated the damage was due to vandalism or an accident, commending cast members for swiftly removing the broken poster and cleaning the area.

Originally thought to be a Matterhorn Bobsleds poster, another Reddit user later clarified it was the Monorail poster that had been damaged.

Whether the incident was an act of vandalism or just an unfortunate accident remains unclear. If it was intentional, it would not be the first time Disney property has been targeted.

Similar incidents this year include vandalism at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, graffiti at Walt Disney World Resort, and damage to lines at attractions such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Flight of Passage.
