Three of the most recognizable characters in any Disney park just got a wardrobe update just in time for Toy Story 5 (2026).
New Looks, Same Pixar Trio

Ahead of the June 19 theatrical premiere of Toy Story 5, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort have updated the meet-and-greet outfits for Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie at both coasts. @DisneyParks announced the change in late May on X (formerly known as Twitter) with a video showcasing the new looks:

The updates aren’t full costume replacements; they’re additions layered onto the characters’ existing outfits. Buzz Lightyear has a new shiny star sticker, Woody is now sporting his bandana poncho, and Jessie is wearing a shiny sheriff badge. Each accessory ties directly to the characters’ appearances in the upcoming film, giving Disney Park guests who meet the trio a preview of what they’ll see on screen when Toy Story 5 opens later this month.

The updated Woody, Buzz, and Jessie are currently available for meet-and-greets in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and on Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park. Disney hasn’t confirmed whether the new accessories are a permanent addition to the characters’ wardrobes or a promotional change that will be retired after Toy Story 5 wraps its theatrical run.
Coming to Theaters June 19
Toy Story 5 reunites Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack as Woody, Buzz, and Jessie for a story that pits the beloved toys against an enemy they’ve never faced before: technology. The threat takes the form of Lilypad, voiced by Greta Lee, a tablet that captures Bonnie’s attention and begins pulling her away from her toys.

The film also introduces Conan O’Brien as a new character, Smarty Pants, and Bad Bunny as “Pizza with Sunglasses.” Taylor Swift wrote an original country song for the movie called “I Knew It, I Knew You,” which drops on June 5.
