Walt Disney World’s top rival in Florida has announced a new measure in its efforts to curb a recent rise in theme park fights and violence across the country, but whether it’s the answer is doubtful and definitely remains to be seen.
On Sunday, via Twitter, Universal Studios Orlando shared information about “adjustments” to the weekend operations at Universal’s CityWalk, the resort’s so-called “epicenter of awesome,” which doubles as a shopping and dining district:
We’ve made adjustments to our weekend operations at CityWalk, and Guests under the age of 18 are required to depart at 9 p.m. unless they are accompanied by a parent/guardian, are staying at a Universal Hotel or seeing a movie. Reach out closer to the event for any updated info!

The curfew currently applies only to weekends at Universal Orlando‘s CityWalk–and only to guests who are under the age of 18 and unaccompanied by a parent or guardian. Again, Universal has stated that the restrictions currently in place are subject to change, meaning that there could be changes to the days of the week affected by the change, and to guests who are affected by the change.
