Walt Disney World has introduced an operational change aimed at reducing bottlenecks at one of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party’s most in-demand offerings: the meet-and-greet featuring Jack Skellington and Sally from 1993’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
This experience has consistently generated some of the longest wait times of any party exclusive, with multi-hour queues forcing attendees to weigh the meet-and-greet against other limited-availability offerings, including the Boo to You Parade and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular.
According to the site Kenny the Pirate, Disney has begun distributing bins to guests near the front of the queue, allowing them to set aside personal items — bags, phones, beverages — ahead of reaching the character duo, who received an updated character design in late 2025.
The bins are collected on a nearby table so guests can proceed directly into the meet-and-greet without pausing to manage belongings. Disney has characterized this as a minor logistical adjustment; however, reporting indicates it produced a measurable improvement in throughput during at least one recent party date.
Wait-time tracking from Queue Times for August 28, 2026, provides context for the scale of demand this adjustment is meant to address.
