There’s nothing quite like the holidays at Walt Disney World. Snow falling on Main Street, U.S.A., festive treats around every corner, and that special glow the Magic Kingdom seems to take on once the Christmas lights go up. For many, the ultimate way to experience that magic is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party—a ticketed event that’s become a must-do tradition.
But in 2025, guests may want to check the price tag before circling it on their calendar.
What You’re Paying For
Running select nights from November 7 through December 21, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party gives guests early entry into the park starting at 4 p.m., with the festivities officially kicking off at 7 p.m. From ride overlays and character sightings to Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks and the fan-favorite parade, it’s undeniably a fun night.
Still, that fun comes at a steep cost.
Ticket prices now range from $169 to $229 depending on the date. That’s up from last year’s $219 max, and even though Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can shave off $10 on select nights, it’s still a pricey proposition for many.
A Shocking Comparison
Let’s rewind to 2015. That year, party tickets started at just $74. With 2025’s lowest price set at $169, we’re looking at a staggering 128% increase over the past decade.
That’s not just inflation—it’s a fundamental shift in what Disney considers a premium experience worth charging top dollar for.
Fans React to the Surge
Some guests still swear by the event. The shorter wait times and festive ambiance are worth the splurge for them. But for others, especially families traveling during peak season when everything’s more expensive, it’s starting to feel out of reach.
Even more concerning? Many believe Disney is slowly phasing out affordability and leaning into exclusivity—turning cherished memories into luxury add-ons.
As prices rise year after year, fans are asking the same question: is Disney magic still magical if it’s only available to those who can afford it?
