It’s failing to check the Magic Kingdom calendar.

Party guests get access to special entertainment, trick-or-treating, characters, Halloween experiences, and other offerings throughout Magic Kingdom. In 2026, guests with party tickets can enter beginning at 4 p.m., with the event officially running from 7 p.m. until midnight.
However, a normal Magic Kingdom ticket doesn’t include access to the party.
Guests without Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party admission eventually have to exit Magic Kingdom as Disney transitions the park to the separately ticketed event.
For those visitors, that leaves a decision to make.
Do you head back to the hotel and end your theme park day early? Or do you go somewhere else?
Plenty of guests are likely to choose the second option.
EPCOT Becomes an Easy Alternative
EPCOT makes plenty of sense as the next stop.
