Sheriff Lopez indicated that the shooting was likely drug-related. As of this report, the sheriff’s office continues investigating the apartment complex incident. OCSO responded to the shooting at the Rapallo apartments on Marta Circle around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday following reports of multiple gunshots.

Three victims suffered gunshot wounds in the incident. Two victims were transported to the hospital, where one, identified as 20-year-old Adrian Joel Gonzales, succumbed to his injuries. In other Disney World news, a dead fish was seen floating inside the waters at EPCOT, ruining some of the destination’s magic for those who rode the monorail back in June. Harmful heat waves also struck the area this week and last, leading to below-average crowd levels at the parks up until yesterday. Temperatures rose to around 106 degrees, with the heat index being a little higher.

A thermometer displaying high temperatures in both Celsius and Fahrenheit is set against a bright, fiery orange background with a sunburst. To the left, a cartoon figure resembling Mickey Mouse appears to be looking at the thermometer with concern during this scorching heat wave.
