Disney World Confirms 3 Popular Hotel Perks Officially End September 9
Walt Disney World has confirmed that three popular benefits available to Disney Resort hotel guests will end after September 8. Several signature hotel perks will continue, but guests arriving on September 9 or later will miss out on several fan-favorite perks.
For travelers with an upcoming Disney stay, timing matters. Checking in before September 9 means there’s still an opportunity to experience these hotel perks before Disney cuts them.
Disney Hotels Offer More Than Just a Place to Stay
Many visitors book a Disney Resort hotel because it offers more than convenient accommodations near the parks. Staying onsite comes with advantages that can make a vacation smoother, save time, and help guests experience more throughout their trip.
Disney Resort guests continue to receive complimentary transportation across Walt Disney World, Early Theme Park Entry each day, and the ability to book Lightning Lane selections before most guests staying elsewhere. Those benefits remain unchanged and continue to be some of the biggest reasons families choose to stay on Disney property.
Throughout the year, Disney also introduces additional offerings that give resort guests even more opportunities to enjoy their vacation. Since onsite visitors typically spend several days at Walt Disney World, they’re often the ones who benefit most from these experiences. However, three of this year’s most popular offerings are almost finished.

Guests Have Just Weeks Left to Enjoy This Complimentary Bonus
Among the biggest additions for Disney Resort hotel guests has been complimentary water park admission on check-in day.
Guests arriving through September 8, 2026, receive free admission to either Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park on the day they check into their Disney Resort hotel. Instead of spending the arrival day waiting to begin their vacation, families can head straight to one of Disney’s water parks without purchasing another admission ticket.
The benefit has proven especially valuable for guests arriving early in the day or those looking to make the most of every hour of their vacation. It transforms what might otherwise be a slower travel day into another opportunity to experience Disney attractions, whether that means floating along a lazy river, enjoying the wave pool, or taking on the parks’ water slides.
That promotion officially ends for guests checking into Disney Resort hotels after September 8. Disney has already confirmed the benefit will return during summer 2027, but it won’t continue once this year’s summer offering concludes.

Another Family Favorite Is Wrapping Up
The calendar is also counting down for Disney’s Cool KIDS’ SUMMER celebration.
Available through September 8, the promotion has brought additional entertainment to Walt Disney World, including pop-up dance parties, character appearances, interactive activities, and family-focused experiences throughout the resort.
Although these activities aren’t exclusive to Disney Resort hotel guests, families staying onsite are best positioned to enjoy them. A multi-day vacation gives guests more opportunities to encounter surprise entertainment across different parks, rather than trying to fit everything into a single visit.
The extra entertainment has helped create a more energetic atmosphere while giving children additional activities between attractions. Cool KIDS’ SUMMER is scheduled to conclude as Walt Disney World shifts its attention toward fall entertainment and Halloween offerings.

Resort Recreation Will Begin Returning to Normal
The parks aren’t the only places where guests have found extra entertainment this summer.
Many Disney Resort hotels have expanded their recreation schedule to include crafts, family games, enhanced poolside entertainment, and evening activities. These experiences have given families another reason to spend time at their resort instead of viewing it simply as a place to sleep.
For guests planning a pool day or taking a break from the parks, those activities have added even more value to an onsite stay.
Disney hasn’t announced every individual activity that will conclude because recreation schedules vary from one resort to another. However, these offerings have traditionally scaled back as Disney wraps up its summer programming. With the current summer campaign ending after September 8, guests should expect many of these additional recreational experiences to wind down around the same time. However, specific offerings will continue to vary by hotel.

A New Season Means a Different Resort Experience
Even with these changes, Disney Resort hotels will continue offering many of the benefits that make them popular vacation choices. Complimentary transportation, Early Theme Park Entry, and early Lightning Lane booking remain available and continue providing valuable advantages throughout the year.
Still, September 9 marks the end of three offerings that have made Disney Resort stays even more rewarding over the past few months. Complimentary water park admission on check-in day, Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, and expanded resort recreation have all added extra value for guests staying onsite. Travelers arriving by September 8 still have time to experience those benefits before Walt Disney World fully turns its attention to the fall season.
