$120 Day at Disney World Ruined When Guest Gets Pooped On

A Walt Disney World trip Resort is supposed to be full of magic, but for one recent Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park guest, it was a $120 day filled with something less magical: bird poop.

While many Disney Parks fans dream of meeting their favorite characters, one guest got an unforgettable immersive experience when a wild bird decided to make them its target. As the guest walked from Kilimanjaro Safaris toward Expedition Everest, a bird overhead had other plans, resulting in the guest getting pooped on—right in the middle of their visit.

In a post shared on Reddit, the guest (u/Shot_Tangelo_375) recalled the moment the bird pooped on them: “I really looked at fiancé and said ‘please tell me that was a huge rain drop?’”

Well… I got pooped on by a bird at Animal Kingdom. They said it was good luck?

The guest quickly realized, to their dismay, that it was not a raindrop but a sizable bird poop that had hit their head. The poop didn’t land on their clothes but did make its way into their hair, sending them scrambling to the bathroom.

“The ladies in the bathroom were kind but horrified,” the guest shared. “… ‘What do you mean? Aren’t they trained?!’ Was my favorite response… Saw that same lady buying a hat after.”

When the guest informed Guest Services, cast members told them that being pooped on by a bird was “good luck,” and they were gifted with an “I’m Celebrating” button reading “It wasn’t a rain drop….”

Although the situation was unpleasant, the Redditor took it in stride and didn’t feel entitled to compensation, recognizing that sometimes, nature just happens.

“I think he was relieved I wasn’t trying to be a Karen about it,” the Disney Park guest wrote. “Birds=poop it’s a chance I took buying a ticket.”

As it turns out, this incident was far from unique. Other Walt Disney World Resort fans chimed in with their own poop-related mishaps.

“I learned the hard way to sit under the covered tables when eating at Flame Tree BBQ and not under a tree,” u/jennzid commented. “Thankfully the manager on duty replaced my poopy meal with a fresh one and gave me a certificate for a new shirt.”

“Happened to my Mom and then 10 years later happened to me,” said u/oskinator716. “Panicked at the time but hilarious now. A ‘sh! t’ tradition if you ask me though.”

What would you do if you got pooped on at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park? Disney Dining would love to hear from you in the comments!
