A Walt Disney World Resort bus ride was recently halted due to a minor accident involving a car and over a dozen guests. Although no one was injured, the incident led to a delay and a series of guest interviews conducted by Disney cast members.
Buses are an essential part of the Walt Disney World Resort transportation system, linking guests to various destinations, including the Disney Resort hotels, Disney Springs, Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and the water parks. As the resort’s largest and most expansive transportation network, buses play a vital role in the overall guest experience.
Trey (@trey_2_extra on TikTok) shared a video detailing the experience on the Walt Disney World Resort bus after the accident. According to Trey, a car side-swiped their bus, causing it to stop and requiring cast members to interview every guest onboard. “A car side-swiped our bus at Disney so they’re having to take names for interviews on what we may have seen,” Trey explained. “(I saw and felt nothing.)”

There appeared to be no physical injuries, but the delay understandably frustrated many of the passengers. Disney cast members worked quickly to collect details about the incident, but the passengers were stuck on the bus until the process was complete.
Some Disney Parks fans joked that they would have exaggerated injuries to receive compensation.
“I would be feeling excruciating back pain,” @armoasneda quipped.
“Girl you better say your neck and back hurts get free passes,” @arnkar echoed.
While these comments were made in jest, others advised more caution.
“You really do need to be checked out by a doctor first before giving a statement,” said @popthebutterfly. “You could have pain or injury you won’t feel until tomorrow once the adrenaline wears off and your statement could be used against you to keep you from receiving care on Disney or the other driver’s dime.”
Other guests shared similar experiences with Disney bus rides.
@pharmd23 recounted an incident where a bus driver almost crashed, sending a child flying and knocking out her tooth. “Husband whacked his shoulder. Driver didn’t do anything about it. We all had to go to the front desk and complain,” the Disney Park guest said.
Similarly, @dreag19 recalled a time when a bus driver made a wrong turn, got stuck in a parking lot, and ran into a pipe: “We had to do the same form but we didn’t know what to do coz we weren’t even staying at the resort we were headed to.”
As of now, Walt Disney World Resort has not released a public statement regarding the recent bus incident.

Never had anything but wonderful times and memories of trips to Disney World. But of course this was pre pandemic times. Every thing was less complicated and people were better behaved.
