If you’re a so-called “Childless Millennial” who loves Disney, you’ll want to grab tickets to the new experience launching in honor of the Disney100 Anniversary marketed towards all kinds of “Disney Adults.”
Love ’em, hate ’em, or maybe you are one, Disney Adults (AKA adult fans of the Walt Disney Company’s offerings, typically those who are not parents with children themselves) are a hot topic right now in Disney fan spaces and online. From Disney Adult Tiktokers and Youtubers to Instagram influencers to #Distwitter users who share their opinions, Disney fans over the age of 18 abound… even if it irritates other Guests.

And now, Disney will premiere an all-new fan experience “recommended for 18+ years” “to mark 100 years of dynamic duos, unlikely pals, and inseparable friends.” Disney Wonder of Friendship, the Experience, is a new “stunning multi-sensory pop-up” geared towards adult Guests in celebration of the company’s 100th anniversary.
The event’s premise is as follows, according to a new announcement:
For a century, Disney has shown us that nothing is impossible with friends by your side. Enter a world of beautiful and enchanting installations with your friends. Venture through immersive spaces celebrating iconic Disney characters, stories and friendships. Take on adventures in the Alice in Wonderland Garden of Mystery. Find your balance on the shores of the Lilo & Stitch Ohana Bay. Say hello to a life with no worries in The Lion King Orchestral Oasis. Come light up the world together in the Mickey and Friends Wonderverse.

Moreover, according to the Disney Wonder of Friendship webpage, the pop-up event will offer “one-off photos, incredible memories, and a bespoke Disney memento that celebrates your friendships.” With all the criticism adult fans receive, it’s nice to see Disney creating a space that celebrates a love of Disney and community, no matter your age!
However, because the event is created with adults in mind, Disney will require anyone under the age of 18 to attend with an adult. In addition, Disney has stated it will not grant access to children under the age of 8 at all, as this event is “not suitable” for them, a clear departure from its family-friendly theme parks.

And one more catch… this event will debut in London from May 12 to May 21, 2023, followed by tour dates in Berlin (June 9-18, 2023) and Paris (June 30-July 9, 2023). Though it’s not clear when exactly tickets go live, fans can enjoy a preview of what’s to come in this trailer:
