Disney has just shared the first glimpse of design concepts for houses that will be part of the Walt Disney Company’s new residential communities called Storyliving by Disney. These design concepts will serve as inspiration for homes in the new community.
Though no homes have yet been constructed in Disney’s new Cotino community in Rancho Mirage, California, Disney has shared concept designs for homes in the new residential communities which will definitely have many “Disney Adults” feeling the magic.
The first of many Storyliving by Disney residential communities, Cotino, is located in California’s Coachella Valley, as the location has ties to Walt Disney and his wife Lillian.
Disney Parks Blog says:
“With the rich history, culture and boundless beauty of California’s Coachella Valley for inspiration, DMB Development worked alongside the architectural design firm, WHA, with creative insight from Walt Disney Imagineering, to develop several inspirational home concepts that builders -can use to craft the homes in the community.”
The City of Rancho Mirage will first review the new Storyliving by Disney community’s Preliminary Development Plan before actual construction begins on any of the new homes in the community. The City will also have the opportunity to take a look at these design inspirations and a set of home floor plans as well.
According to Disney Parks Blog, the plans that will be submitted to the City of Rancho Mirage, California, won’t be for actual homes, but rather, they will serve as a representation of the homes and design styles that DMB Development hopes to offer those who join the Cotino community.
