Disney Shares “A Message From Our Colleagues” Video Supporting Black Lives Matter Movement

After the death of George Floyd, the Black Lives Matters movement is leading to conversations about racial inequality. Today, Disney released “A Message from Our Colleagues” on their YouTube channel.

The message with the video reads:

Several of our colleagues created this powerful and very personal video to share with their fellow employees, highlighting the need for greater understanding, unity and action to address racial inequality in our country. We believe Black lives matter and that this message is one that everyone should hear. That’s why we’re sharing it with you.

 

As previously announced, the Walt Disney Company pledged $5 million to support nonprofit organizations to advance social justice. Their first steps is a $2 million donation to the NAACP.
