Weekends are always busy at a Disney Park. Add in a holiday on top of that and the crowds are sure to be massive. That means that it can hurt when a ride or attraction is down, especially if it is a popular attraction. Unfortunately, that is what happened at Disneyland Resort this past Memorial Day Weekend. Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure was closed for the entire weekend due to an expected fire that had broken out at the attraction days before.

Thankfully, no major damage was done and Radiator Springs Racers was up and operational in just about a week. Radiator Springs Racers is one of the most popular rides in the theme park, with waits frequently surpassing 90 minutes. Guests were thrilled to see the ride open once again and quickly filled the ride queue. However, it looks like everything was not completely fixed before the ride was reopened.

TikToker Ressie was in line for the ride and almost at the front when she saw something completely unexpected. One ride vehicle had crashed into another — which is something most would think would never happen because the ride is programmed specifically to prevent that. The ride was forced to come to a pause as Guests were evacuated and technicians were brought in to figure out what had happened.

Luckily, it looks like Disney’s magical technicians were able to fix the problem and the ride is up and running and waiting for Guests to enjoy! Radiator Springs Racers is not the only fun attraction in Cars Land. The area is also home to Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters, all of which are perfect for families.
