A medical incident at Walt Disney World Resort’s Be Our Guest Restaurant has generated attention on social media. A video captured a medical emergency unfolding as paramedics were seen removing a stretcher from the dining area while the character Beast interacted with dozens of Magic Kingdom Park guests.
The restaurant’s Grand Ballroom, known for its enchanting decor inspired by Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (1991), was buzzing with hundreds of guests when the episode occurred. Families were enjoying their meals as Beast walked between the three dining rooms.
Suddenly, a tarp-covered stretcher rolled through the restaurant, leading to increased anxiety among guests and a video that went viral on TikTok.
Viral Video Sparks Public Reaction
TikTok user @mariawurtzphoto documented the unexpected situation with a viral sound used to juxtapose happy events with unforeseen twists.

The snippet quickly went viral, drawing reactions from hundreds of thousands of viewers worldwide. Many speculated that there was a deceased person underneath the tarp.
“Literally THROUGH the dining hall is WILD,” one user commented.
While the video appeared alarming at first, several medical professionals in the comments explained that the tarp likely concealed equipment rather than a person, as paramedics often protect their gear from rain in outdoor environments.
Despite the widespread interest and concern about the incident, Walt Disney World Resort has not publicly responded regarding the outcome or circumstances surrounding the medical situation.
Be Our Guest Restaurant
After opening in 2012 as part of the New Fantasyland expansion at Magic Kingdom Park, Be Our Guest Restaurant quickly established itself as a signature dining experience within the Walt Disney World Resort. Initially offering a Quick Service format for breakfast and lunch, it transformed into a Table Service venue for dinner featuring a prix fixe menu. The restaurant gained notoriety as the only Quick Service dining location at the resort requiring reservations, with guests also having the unique opportunity to meet the Beast during Table Service dinner.
The restaurant underwent a significant transformation amid the COVID-19 pandemic, altering its service model to serve prix fixe Table Service meals for lunch and dinner. Reservations remain mandatory for all dining experiences, and the character interactions have shifted. The Beast now greets guests from a distance rather than posing for photographs in the lobby.
Be Our Guest Restaurant is no stranger to controversy. Earlier this year, Disney Parks fans slammed Walt Disney World Resort for forcing guests to sit on the ground while waiting for their tables at the luxurious Magic Kingdom Park restaurant.

That’s just their gear covered so it doesn’t get soaked with rain. No one is on that stretcher yet.
