A Super Farewell: Disney Park Confirms End of ‘The Incredibles’

Disney has confirmed that The Incredibles won’t be returning to one theme park.

Like all of its popular movie franchises, The Incredibles (2004) has been integrated into multiple Disney theme parks over the years.

At Disney California Adventure Park, guests can experience The Incredicoaster – a high-speed reimagining of the former California Screamin’ coaster that features a custom storyline, original voice cast, and visual effects that follow the Parr family in pursuit of Jack-Jack.

Meanwhile, at Walt Disney World Resort, guests can meet Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, and Frozone in Pixar Plaza at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The characters also feature in several popular Disney parades – but as of 2025, the superpowered family has been axed from one performance.

Disney Scraps The Incredibles From Park Parade

As Disneyland gears up for the long-awaited return of Paint the Night—its first showing since 2017—one notable update has emerged: The parade will no longer feature The Incredibles.

That’s right, with the return of the Frozen (2013) float – which was axed for the parade’s jump from Disneyland to California Adventure in 2018 due to height constraints – Disney has apparently decided to cut the float featuring The Incredibles.

The parade float had previously been brought in as a replacement for Frozen and was themed around a battle against The Underminer, the villain first introduced at the end of The Incredibles.

It was billed as featuring the largest persistence-of-vision globe ever installed on a Disney parade float, used to depict Violet Parr’s force field powers; a 64-frame lighting system that captured Dash’s super speed as he raced around the float; and custom, hand-wired suits for Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, and Frozone that synced with the music and lighting.

Scott Gustin confirmed the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing: “Paint the Night returns to Disneyland on May 16 – and the Frozen float will return. The Frozen float was removed in 2018 during the parade’s run at DCA due to height restrictions and was replaced by the Incredibles float. The Incredibles float will not be part of PTN this year.”

Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! Returns

Of course, the good news is that there’s plenty of Incredibles fun to be had at the neighboring park. Paint the Night isn’t the only parade returning to Anaheim, with Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! also set to kick off a new season at Disney California Adventure Park later this year.

As well as The Incredibles, this parade features more recent Pixar characters such as Luca, Mei, and 4*Town (the highlight, in our opinion), as well as classics such as Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Mike, and Sulley.
