Planning a trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2026 isn’t just about picking dates that fit your schedule—it’s about choosing dates that actually work in your favor. This park is one of the busiest at Walt Disney World, and on the wrong day, it can feel like every ride has a long wait before you even get your first Lightning Lane booked.

But not every week hits the same.
There are a few stretches during the year where crowd levels dip just enough to make a noticeable difference. If you’re trying to avoid the most overwhelming days, these are the windows worth paying attention to.

One of the first opportunities shows up in the spring, during April 26th through May 2nd. This is that quiet period right after Spring Break crowds disappear. Schools are still in session, and summer travel hasn’t started yet, which gives this week a lighter feel compared to what comes before and after.
Later in the year, August 23rd through August 29th offers another solid option. By this point, most families have already wrapped up their summer vacations. Kids are heading back to school, and that shift alone brings crowd levels down. It also falls before Labor Day, so you avoid that next wave of travelers.

If you’re open to visiting in early fall, September 13th through 19th and September 20th through 26th are two of the most reliable weeks on the calendar. Once Labor Day passes, attendance drops quickly. The heat is still intense, which keeps some guests away, and school schedules make it harder for families to travel.
November gives you a short but valuable window before the holiday rush begins. The week of November 15th through November 21st sits right before Thanksgiving, which means you get holiday decorations without the peak-level crowds.
Right after Thanksgiving, things calm down again. November 29th through December 5th tends to feel like a reset. People head home, routines pick back up, and the parks briefly settle before the next surge.

That calmer stretch continues into December 6th through December 12th. The parks are fully decorated, but the biggest holiday crowds haven’t arrived yet.
Then comes December 16th through December 23rd, which is a bit of a mixed bag—but still worth mentioning. Early in the week can feel manageable, especially before schools fully break for the holidays. But as Christmas gets closer, crowds ramp up fast. If you’re visiting during this time, those earlier days are your best bet.
Hollywood Studios is never going to feel empty, but timing your visit around these weeks can make your day feel much more manageable. It’s not about avoiding crowds completely—it’s about giving yourself a better shot at a smoother experience.
