Disney Confirms Opening Date for New Animal Kingdom Theme Park Experience
Walt Disney World Resort has officially set the debut date for the newest addition to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. After months of construction, Disney has confirmed that “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” will take over the Tree of Life Theater later this year.
Walt Disney World Resort first announced a new Tree of Life show based on Zootopia (2016) at Destination D23 2023. Later, Imagineers confirmed the attraction’s name would be “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” and revealed that Judy Hopps’ original voice actor, Ginnifer Goodwin, would perform an all-new song for the show. Concept art also teased the debut of an advanced Clawhauser audio-animatronic, similar to the one in Zootopia: Hot Pursuit at Shanghai Disneyland.
It’s Tough To Be A Bug! permanently closed on March 17, 2025, ending its nearly three-decade run inside the Tree of Life. However, it took until now for Walt Disney World Resort to confirm when its replacement would open.
On Thursday, August 21, Walt Disney World Resort announced that “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” will officially open inside the Tree of Life Theater on November 7, 2025. The news comes just in time for the premiere of Zootopia 2 (2025).

Walt Disney World Resort also shared more details about the nine-minute experience. Guests will join their favorite Zootopia characters for a “Zoogether Day” celebration presented in “CarrotVision 3D.” The queue will be decorated with themed posters, and the show will be divided into three acts before culminating in a finale featuring “Try Everything,” performed by Gazelle (voiced by Shakira in the film). A brand-new wolf character, Heidi Howler, will host.
Alongside the new attraction’s opening date, Walt Disney World Resort announced that Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps will appear in a meet-and-greet on Discovery Island near the Tree of Life. The duo will greet guests in brand-new costumes inspired by Zootopia 2.
