Dining at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a Deluxe Disney Resort that brings the rustic charm of the lodges found in National Parks to life. This Disney Resort features a massive atrium lobby with wooden beams, soaring stone fireplaces, dark colors reminiscent of the forests, and pops of color through artwork and décor. Located on the shores of Bay Lake, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a convenient boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom making it a great place to stay or visit.

The Disney Resort is home to several dining options for Guests to enjoy including everything from a relaxed lounge to a table service restaurant that continues the rustic theme. With several great options to choose from, let’s check out the dining options available to all Guests at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Whispering Canyon Café

The one full-service restaurant available at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is situated just off of the main lobby and offers up hearty food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Whispering Canyon Café features an atmosphere of wooden beams and tables, bright chairs and carpets, and rustic lighting and décor that pairs perfectly with the antics of the servers. The Cast Members who work at Whispering Canyon Café put on a show by sassing Guests and creating all sorts of antics including delivering tons and tons of ketchup bottles to a table after the condiment is requested.

The food at Whispering Canyon Café features Western-inspired options that are totally filling and indulgent. The signature items are the All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Signature Skillets which feature a huge spread of food that Guests can ask for seconds, thirds, and more of. Some offerings included in the skillets throughout the day include pork sausage links, egg white spinach frittata, Mickey Waffles, maple-chipotle barbecued slow-smoked pork ribs, citrus-herb chicken, braised pork belly, mustard-barbecued ‘Piggy Wings,’ house-smoked salmon, smashed potatoes, sautéed green beans, and buttered corn.

In addition to the skillets, Guests who dine at Whispering Canyon Café can choose singular entrée options with delicious options like a Belgian-style Waffle, Applewood-smoked Turkey Sandwich, Chopped Bison Burger, Pepper Jack “Cheese” Frittata, Char-crusted New York Strip, Pan-fried Red Quinoa Cakes, and Cedar Plank Salmon. Guests should also be sure to save room for wonderful dessert options like the Whispering Canyon Pioneer Chocolate Cake, Granny Smith Apple Pie, and Rice Milk Panna Cotta.

Whispering Canyon Café is a great table service restaurant for Guests to enjoy as it combines the rustic charm of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge with the fun escapades performed by the Cast Members and indulgent Western-style cuisine that will leave them stuffed. Roaring Fork

One quick service option at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is Roaring Fork, which is located inside of the main building, steps from the lobby. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and serves up a mix of specialty items as well as grab-and-go choices like trail mix, yogurt, chips, pretzels, bakery items, and fruit.

The interior of Roaring Fork again continues the rustic theme of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and features dark wooden floors, paneling, tables, and chairs, stone walls and opening at the ordering counters, outdoorsy décor including fly fishing lures, paddles, nets, lanterns, and more, and barrels cleverly used as display surfaces for many of the grab-and-go items. Guests can choose to enjoy their purchases either in the dining area or outside on an adjacent open-air patio that overlooks the grounds and pool below.

Some of the delicious menu options offered at Roaring Fork throughout the day include Chicken and Waffles, Bananas Foster French Toast, Bagel Sandwich, Ranger Hash, 10-Hour Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich, Western Chicken Strips, Tuna Salad Sandwich, Wilderness Salad with Chicken, and Bacon Cheeseburger.

Roaring Fork also serves up some delightful and fun dessert options including the popular Campfire Cupcake which features a rich chocolate cupcake topped with buttercream, marshmallow, and chocolate rocks to create a tiny campfire decoration right on top. Other desserts offered include the popular Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, Roaring S’more, Vanilla Cupcake, and fresh cookies and pastries.

Roaring Fork at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is the perfect quick service restaurant for Guests to enjoy thanks to the option to either pick up a grab-and-go meal while on the go to one of the Disney Parks, or enjoy a convenient, yet still delicious, meal on the scenic outdoor patio.

Geyser Point Bar & Grill

The other quick-service option offered at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge can be found down near the shores of Bay Lake and offers up a lounge menu that is featured throughout each day. Geyser Point Bar & Grill is just steps away from the Copper Creek Springs Pool and is the perfect spot to take a break from the fun in the sun and grab a bite to eat.

The interior of the quick-service restaurant is entirely open-air and features a vaulted wooden ceiling, large wooden beams, a stone and marble central bar with stools, and comfortable seating around tables with beautiful views of Bay Lake. Guests can opt to either enjoy their food at Geyser Point Bar & Grill or take it back to Copper Creek Springs Pool, but either way, they will have wonderful water views to relax with.

The limited menu at Geyser Point Bar & Grill features a variety of small bites that make great poolside snacks or treats to enjoy while sipping on a specialty beverage. Some of the small bites offered include Cheesy Barbecue Brisket with house-made chips, Handcrafted Cheese and Charcuterie which serves two Guests, Teriyaki Chicken Wings served with soy, sesame, and green onions, Crispy Salmon Croquettes with a miso tartar sauce, Shrimp on a Wire served with togarashi, shishito peppers, chili-aioli, and soy-lime vinaigrette, and Edamame with a chili-salt.

The main entrée options at Geyser Point Bar & Grill are also hearty aside from the light Fruit Plate that is served with a Dannon Yogurt for a filling, yet healthy option for Guests to enjoy poolside. Other entrée options on the menu include Roasted Salmon, Handcrafted Crab Cake, Bison Cheeseburger, Grilled Portobello Salad, Smoked Turkey Sandwich, and Multigrain and Grilled Portobello Salad.

Since Geyser Point Bar & Grill is a restaurant as well as a bar, there are plenty of beverage options for Guests to enjoy including soft drinks, coffee, smoothies, lemonade, and other non-alcoholic options. Those who are looking to enjoy an adult beverage can choose from a lengthy list of sangria, wine, and beer, many of which are offered on tap.

Geyser Point Bar & Grill also features an extensive list of beverages, broken down into Featured Cocktails and Specialty Cocktails. Featured Cocktails include cleverly named options like the Rough Rider Sour, Worth Melting For, Huckleberry Punch, Northwest Iced Tea, and Black Cherry Mule. Specialty Cocktails include options that can also be found elsewhere at the Walt Disney World Resort including the Bourbon Breeze, Sunshine Margarita, Captain’s Mai Tai, Frose, Banana Cabana, Blueberry Lemonade, and Frozen Pina Colava.

Geyser Point Bar & Grill is an excellent lounge location where Guests can order up some convenient and delicious food that can be enjoyed with sweeping views of Bay Lake either from the open air patio or nearby Copper Creek Springs Pool. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy a bite and beverage after a long day in any of the Disney Parks!

Territory Lounge

The final dining option at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is another lounge location that is located inside of the main building between the lobby and Roaring Fork. Territory Lounge is a small dining area that again continues the rustic theming of the Disney Resort with wooden beamed ceilings, leather and wooden seating, artwork depicting Western scenes, and ornately carved bears holding up the dark wooden bar.

Territory Lounge is open only after four each evening and serves up a limited menu of small plates that are ideal for enjoying with a specialty beverage. The small plates on the menu include Oregon Chardonnay Fondue, Artisanal Cheese and Charcuterie, House-made Potato Chips, a Seasonal Bisque, and House-smoked Chipotle Barbecue-glazed Ribs. Guests who are looking to satisfy a sweet craving can also order the Flourless Chocolate Cake Cauldron or a large slice of the Seasonal Pie.

Non-alcoholic options at Territory Lounge include the typical soft drinks and coffee options in addition to some specialty creations that are sure to please Guests. The Grapefruit Spritzer combines rub red grapefruit and lime juices with soda water for a refreshing sip and the Watermelon Lemonade features Minute Maid Premium Lemonade with fresh watermelon for a tart and sweet sip. Other non-alcoholic options include the Pomegranate Lemonade and Sparkling No-Jito which features lime juice, pure cane sugar, and mint topped with soda water.

Territory Lounge features an extensive menu of alcoholic beverages beginning with beers that are available as a draft or in a bottle or can, wines by the glass or bottle, and several specialty bourbon choices. Guests who enjoy bourbon are sure to love the Bourbon Flight where they can sip on three selections from options such as Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight, Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight, Knob Creek Disney Select Single Barrel, and Maker’s Mark.

The specialty cocktails offered at Territory Lounge feature a combination of unique offerings as well as options that can be found in various other locations across the Walt Disney World Resort. Some specialty cocktail options include the Walk the Plank, Kentucky Mule, Spicy Poblano Margarita, Negroni, Bacardi Mojito, Antioxidant Lemonade, White Sangria, Captain’s Mai Tai, Magical Star Cocktail, and Bahama Mama.
