When enjoying a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Guests have virtually endless dining options to choose from that include everything from quick-service meals to signature dining experiences and can be found throughout the entire property. Some of the best dining options can be found at the Disney Resorts, with each boasting its own themes and menus to create unique experiences for Guests.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the most beautiful Disney hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort and brings the beauty and culture of Africa to life through a massive main lobby and rooms that overlook a savanna brimming with animals. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is broken down into two areas, with Jambo House serving as the main building and Guest accommodations and Kidani Village being a smaller and more intimate cluster of buildings nearby with Disney Vacation Club accommodations.

Inside Jambo House, Guests can enjoy a massive lobby with soaring ceilings, vibrant artwork and chandeliers, massive windows overlooking the savanna, and several dining options. One of the Disney Resort’s most popular dining locations is the table service Boma – Flavors of Africa, which can be found right off of the main lobby next to Victoria Falls Lounge and the quick service location The Mara.

Boma – Flavors of Africa first opened in 2001 with the Jambo House, but has quickly gained popularity with Guests for its vibrant interior and unique menu, which serves up specialty items that cannot be found anywhere else at the Walt Disney World Resort. Open daily for breakfast and dinner, the restaurant is an unforgettable experience that all Guests must enjoy at some point.

The interior of Boma – Flavors of Africa is themed to feel like a bustling African marketplace, with vaulted thatched roofs, wooden beams tied together with rope, hanging lanterns casting a soft glow, and vibrant patterns and colors found on the booth seating, as well as each tabletop. There are also subtle details throughout the space that help to bring the charm of African culture to life, including fabric artfully draped on display above, carved columns that resemble drums, and wooden elements that are used cleverly as dividers.

Boma – Flavors of Africa is a buffet meal, and the buffet area spans a large portion of the restaurant, with each station designed to feel like a marketplace booth serving up unique offerings. Each spot features curved roofing with shingles and many are situated in front of onstage kitchen areas where Guests can watch the chefs prepare delicious meals.

One dessert option that Guests absolutely have to try is the Zebra Domes, which are small rounds with an Amarula Cream Liqueur mousse center, white chocolate shell, and chocolate drizzle to give the appearance of a zebra’s stripes.
