If you didn’t get to attend the special event offering of Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night, then you are in luck! Disney Parks Blog shared that there have been December dates added for the event so guests will have the chance to attend the event this holiday season! Reservations are already open for these bookings and the dates for the event start on December 4th, 2019. The event is a progressive dining experience which will be inspired by African cultures and The Lion King. There will be delicious food, fun activities, live music and an appreciation of animal conservation efforts.
One of the activities will be a Kilimanjaro Safaris Virtual Reality experience. After guests have their welcome reception, then will board a train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch for a 360 degree safari experience.Â
The welcome reception in Harambe will include meat pies, Durban chips and dip, and a hand-selected array of meats and cheeses as well as Harambellini, a specialty beverage featuring sparkling South African wine blended with a bright burst of passion fruit, orange, and guava juices. Kids will be able to enjoy options like cheese, fruit and Tofaa, which is chocolate caramel-dipped green apples.
After the welcome reception, guests board the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch where the VR experience will be offered, as well as character experiences with Timon and Rafiki and more great food and beverage offerings. There will be offerings like spiced crisp plaintains, South African oat and coconut bars, and Sundowner Safari Mix with spiced nuts and dried fruit. Kids can enjoy seasonal fruit and Trail Mix Bites with granola, chocolate chips, raisins, and honey. For the adults, the specialty beverages featured here are the Chief’s Shandy (Tusker beer blended with lemonade), and Wanjohi’s Dawa, a refreshing blend of tequila, pineapple, mango, and Ancho chile.
