Check Out the Amazing Mosaics at Disney’s Riviera Resort at Walt Disney World

We are getting closer and closer to the opening for Disney’s Riviera Resort. This resort will be the newest resort to join the Walt Disney World family and will also be a new Disney Vacation Club property! The resort is coming together and has been created with immersive details. We have shared looks at the resort as we have them and thanks to Disney Parks Blog, we have another look at the amazing mosaic murals that have been created. We previously showed the London mural that features Peter Pan characters and now we have a look at the Rapunzel mural that showcases the beautiful lantern scene from the movie. Check it out below:

The tunnel where these mosaics are created leads to the Disney Skyliner, so it is no coincidence that flight is a key element with the design for the mural.

Per Disney Parks Blog, “More than 1 million hand-cut tiles were laid by hand to create this stunning work of art that rises 20 feet in the air and is joined at the ceiling by a shared mosaic sky.”

Disney’s Riviera Resort is still expected to open to guests on December 16th, 2019. Reservations are open for booking, so you can start planning your stay at this new, amazing resort at Walt Disney World.
