Check Out Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night in Walt Disney World

We can’t wait for one of the latest dining adventures coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.  Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night is set to be offered select nights starting on July 24th, 2019.  The event is a progressive dining experience which will be inspired by African cultures and The Lion King.  There will be delicious food, fun activities, live music and an appreciation of animal conservation efforts.  It is everything rolled into one.  We have more of the details for you below.


Kilimanjaro Safaris Virtual Reality Experience for Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

One of the activities will be a Kilimanjaro Safaris Virtual Reality experience.  After guests have their welcome reception, then will board a train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch for a 360 degree safari experience.  The experience is only available for guests who participate in Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night!

Appetizers for Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

There will be amazing food and beverage options throughout the evening.  The welcome reception in Harambe will include meat pies, Durban chips and dip, and a hand-selected array of meats and cheeses as well as Harambellini, a specialty beverage featuring sparkling South African wine blended with a bright burst of passion fruit, orange, and guava juices.  Kids will be able to enjoy options like cheese, fruit and Tofaa, which is chocolate caramel-dipped green apples.

Timon and Rafiki Character Greetings during Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

After the welcome reception, guests board the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch where the VR experience will be offered, as well as character experiences with Timon and Rafiki and more great food and beverage offerings.  There will be offerings like spiced crisp plaintains, South African oat and coconut bars, and Sundowner Safari Mix with spiced nuts and dried fruit. Kids can enjoy seasonal fruit and Trail Mix Bites with granola, chocolate chips, raisins, and honey. For the adults, the specialty beverages featured here are the Chief’s Shandy (Tusker beer blended with lemonade), and Wanjohi’s Dawa, a refreshing blend of tequila, pineapple, mango, and Ancho chile.

Food Offerings for Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

Guests board the train again to head to Harambe Market.  This is the final destination where dinner offerings are available with African music performed, plus a dance party.  Here is a look at the dinner stations and offerings:

The African Lion Station

  • Char-Grilled Steak with Herb-Infused Mealie, Chakalaka, and a Red Wine Sauce
  • Chicken with Fingerling Potatoes, Kool Slaai, and Mango Sambal

The Cape Buffalo Station

  • Shrimp Curry with Sustainable Shrimp, Cape Malay Green Coconut Curry, and Fragrant Basmati Rice
  • Grilled Sweet Corn with Farmer’s Cheese, Chili-Lime Spice, and Citrus Aioli
  • Barbecued Ribs (Kid’s Option)

The Rhinoceros Station

  • Vegetable Curry with Roasted Seasonal Vegetables served over Basmati Rice

The African Elephant Station

Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

Circle of Flavors: Harambe at Night will be offered from  6 PM through 9 PM on select nights for a limited time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The cost for the event is $125 plus tax for adults and $99 plus tax for children ages 3 to 9.  Each guest will also be required to have separate park admission.
