Cast Member Assaulted by Disney Guests at Haunted Mansion Attraction

A private event at Disneyland Resort reportedly took a violent turn when a group of eight young girls assaulted a Haunted Mansion hostess after a ticket dispute. The incident unfolded during a special party for inner-city youth at the iconic theme park, leaving the hostess with a broken nose and clumps of her hair torn out.

According to the book Mouse Tales: A Behind-The-Ears Look at Disneyland, the trouble began when the group of girls, each part of the private party, handed the hostess-only two tickets—far fewer than required for entry. The hostess, employed at the Haunted Mansion attraction, explained that more tickets were needed to accommodate all of the party attendees. In response, the girls became increasingly agitated.

Guests Attack Cast Member Over Tickets

What followed was a violent altercation, with the girls reportedly turning on the hostess, punching and kicking her. One of the girls allegedly yanked out a significant amount of the hostess’s hair while others delivered blows to her face. The attack culminated in a broken nose, which was confirmed by medical staff who arrived at the scene.

As the assault escalated, park employees intervened, attempting to break up the fight. The group of girls fled the area, running through the park with Disney staff in pursuit. Security personnel, along with a number of co-workers from the Haunted Mansion attraction, chased the girls across Disneyland for several minutes before they were apprehended near the entrance. The full passage reads:

“During a private party for a group of inner city kids, eight girls handed the young Haunted Mansion hostess only two tickets. When she said she needed more tickets, the girls turned on her. They beat her up, pulled out some hair and broker her nose. Co-workers chased the girls halfway across the park before they caught them.”

Bad Guest Behavior Continues

Even with the report of this attack resurfacing decades after the book was published, questions are still being raised about the safety measures at Disneyland Resort. Although Disney has not commented on this specific incident, it is clear that any cast member assault would raise concerns about the effectiveness of crowd control and supervision during private parties at the park.
