Car Locator Feature Coming to Disney Apps

We’ve all been there, after a long hot day in a Disney Park all you can think about is hobbling back to your car and turning on the AC when panic sets in: you forgot where you parked!!!!!! It’s one of the most frustrating ways to end a day at Disney. Those days will soon be behind us though with the Car Locator feature coming to the My Disney Experience app and Disneyland app!

The new complimentary feature will save your cars location and will work best if you have location services and Bluetooth turned on on your cell. Using it will be simple too! Once you park your car, open your My Disney Experience or Disneyland app and click on the car locator card on the homescreen. You’ll then be prompted to enter your parking details (or if you’ve turned on location services this will be filled in automatically) and Boom! No more end of the day worry! It couldn’t be easier, but it will save many headaches at the end of long tiring Disney days!

This feature will be available at Disneyland, all 4 Walt Disney World theme parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports, and both water parks. It will debut first at Walt Disney World this summer before being released in other Disney locations.

State Farm Insurance is sponsoring this new feature as well as the brand new planDisney Podcast.

Have you ever lost your vehicle in a Disney parking lot? If so you know the struggle. Let us hear about it in the comments! (This writer may or may not have sat down on a curb and cried once because she couldn’t find her car….but I’ll never confirm that)!

About Jill Bivins

Jill Bivins has been visiting Disney Parks since she was 2 years old and loves sharing her Disney adventures with the world. She likes to say Disney is in her blood and writing is in her bones — so any time she has the opportunity to combine these loves she is one happy camper! She has a deep abiding love for Epcot and as a die hard Star Wars fan has a serious love for Hollywood Studios as well. When she isn't exploring or writing about Disney Parks, Jill is homeschooling her 7 year old son or pretending to be a farmer on her family homestead (despite being unable to keep even a cactus alive).
