Can’t Wait for Villains Land? Disney World Bringing the Magic Earlier

Disney is leaning into the love for its villains, and fans couldn’t be more excited!

First up, Magic Kingdom is getting a major expansion as part of the “Beyond Big Thunder” project. At the D23 fan event in September, Disney unveiled plans for Villains Land, a dark and thrilling new addition to the park. This area will include two attractions, dining, and shopping, all themed around Disney’s most iconic bad guys.

Construction is slated to begin in 2025, but the project will take a few years to complete—definitely worth the wait!

But you won’t have to wait too long for your villain fix. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also diving into the world of baddies with a brand-new nighttime show. Disney Villains Unfairly Ever After will debut in summer 2025 on Sunset Boulevard, transforming the area into a hub for mischief and mayhem.

The show, announced during the Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular, will feature live performances from legendary villains like Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, and Captain Hook. Talk about a wickedly fun lineup!

This new production will take over the space previously home to Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. The theater is currently being renovated, with new seating and updates underway to create the perfect setting for the show. Located near the Tower of Terror, the atmosphere couldn’t be more fitting for a night of villainous entertainment.

Between the Villains Land expansion and this exciting new show, Disney is giving fans of its darker characters plenty to look forward to. Whether you’re planning to experience the thrills at Magic Kingdom or dance along with the baddies at Hollywood Studios, there’s something wickedly fun coming your way.
