Property Stolen From Disney World Hotel on Tuesday, Police Say
A hotel burglary report sent law enforcement to the EPCOT Resort Area at Walt Disney World Resort on Tuesday morning, October 20. Most vacationers had already left their rooms for the Central Florida Disney parks by then, and the public record regarding the incident so far provides little additional information.
The Call on Tuesday

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office got a 911 call at 9:54 a.m. about a “hotel burglary.” The call was logged under the EPCOT Resort Area. The account @WDWActiveCrime, which tracks police activity and emergency responses across Central Florida, posted the scanner entry on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The scanner entry reports a burglary. It does not say what, if anything, was taken, and no one has published an inventory of missing items.
Which Hotel?

The report doesn’t name a specific Disney Resort property. The EPCOT Resort Area includes Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts, which Marriott operates.
A Google Maps image attached to the post drops a pin in the middle of Crescent Lake. Dispatch regularly uses that spot as a stand-in for calls in this part of Walt Disney World Resort, so it says little about where the burglary was reported on Tuesday. Nothing public indicates whether it happened in a guest room or elsewhere on the hotel’s grounds.
What Happens Next

As of Tuesday afternoon, no police report had been released, and no criminal charges had been filed. Updates are possible if either one surfaces. Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t commented on the incident.
Operations throughout the EPCOT Resort Area appeared normal following the morning emergency response. Guests staying in the area can proceed with their vacation plans. As a general precaution, anyone traveling with valuables may want to use the in-room safe whenever they head out for the day.
