A popular Disneyland Resort show has been removed from the schedule due to a fire. Will this show return to the Disneyland schedule?
Disneyland Resort is known as “The Happiest Place on Earth.” Being the happiest place, Guests from near and far travel to see and experience Disney magic. Disney World Guests get immersed in different lands, attractions, and shows.
Guests at Disneyland Resort can meet different characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Winnie the Pooh, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Princess Tiana, and many more others. Disneyland is home to two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
Each Disney Park includes attractions for Guests of all ages and sizes. Guests ranging from 0-100 in age can enjoy Disney attractions. Guests heading to Disneyland Park can view Sleeping Beauty Castle, or enjoy different iconic attractions such as “it’s a small world,” Alice in Wonderland, Splash Mountain, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Autopia, Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and many more attractions. Guests can also view thrilling shows such as Fantasmic!, Tale of the Lion King, Wondrous Journeys, and several more.
Guests heading to Disneyland may have heard the recent news about the massive fire that took place on April 22, 2023. Disneyland theme park representatives confirmed that “during the final showing of Fantasmic at Disneyland park on Saturday evening, the dragon caught fire. Anaheim Fire & Rescue quickly responded and the fire was extinguished.” The Maleficent dragon is a central part of the Fantasmic! show Mickey Mouse must battle the forces of darkness in order to get through his dream.

It happened when Mickey shoots sparks at the giant dragon’s head. The Anaheim Fire Department responded to the scene.

With this fire taking place, Disneyland Resort has shut down parts of Disneyland Park, including Tom Sawyer Island, and now, Fantasmic! has been closed due to smoke and wind.
Fantasmic! has been taken off the schedule and will remain closed indefinitely.

Fantasmic! is performed at both Disneyland Resort in California and Disney World In Florida. With the fire happening in California, Disney World shared a statement on how it would move forward with its show in Orlando.
