Magic Happens Parade

This daytime Disneyland parade hits the streets of Disneyland Park a few times daily. Lasting 20 minutes, guests can experience magical moments from beloved Disney stories as they come to life on giant floats.

Mickey Mouse leads the parade while high-energy music plays a fun spin on classic Disney hits. Also heard during the parade is a song co-composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall.

Guests can see Moana as she rides a beautiful wave, Miguel strumming his guitar along Dante, and visit the enchanted forest with Elsa and Anna. These are just a few of the nine floats that create a moving piece of art that brings this magical story to the streets of Disneyland Park each day for guests.

This beloved parade got a huge announcement today from Disney. Magic Happens will be wrapping up on Sunday, October 15, as it makes room for “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” beginning November 10 as part of the holiday celebrations throughout Disneyland Park and California Adventure Park.

For those guests visiting between October 15 and November 10, there will still be a small parade-like experience. Disney announced that a small, Halloween-themed cavalcade would occur twice daily through October.

A Christmas Fantasy Parade

On November 10, Disneyland Park will switch to Christmas mode as the first A Christmas Fantasy Parade is scheduled. This holiday parade will take place daily through January 7, 2024.

Lasting 40 minutes, the parade will occur twice daily, typically at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Get in the holiday spirit with prancing reindeer, marching toy soldiers, and even dancing gingerbread cookies.

Beloved pals such as Woody, Buzz, Mickey, Minnie, Elsa, Anna, and Olaf will celebrate the holiday season with well-themed floats. See Mickey and Minnie with their letters to Santa. Buzz and Woody have a good time with their building blocks, and Disney princesses dance away at a Candlelight Ball.

The holiday parade wouldn’t be magical without a visit from Santa Claus himself. This a holiday experience that will get you ready for the season.

Although the holiday parade is magical, it is sad to see Magic Happens being put away for a long time. Disney did state that it will be back, which makes this period easier to handle.

World of Color-Season of Light will bring a holiday thrill to this evening performance. Don’t forget about “it’s a small world” Holiday that transforms this iconic attraction into a merry version of the holiday.

Sleepy Beauty’s Castle will be transformed each evening with a Wintertime Enchantment. “Believe…In Holiday Magic” Fireworks will also take place on select evenings.

It will be fun to celebrate the holiday season at Disneyland Resort. With an exciting parade and fun holiday excitement, Disneyland will be a great place to visit to get in the mood for the season.

I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next… More »
