According to NBC News, another member of the Haitian soccer team has disappeared. Louis Jacques Wilguens, 25, was last seen stepping off a bus at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort on Saturday, June 11. He was in the Orlando area with the team of Haitian delegates slated to play soccer at the 2022 Special Olympics Games being held at facilities at Walt Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

He was scheduled to return to Haiti on Sunday, June 12, but he has been reported missing.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office warns anyone who makes contact with Wilguens to “check his well-being.”

Authorities in Florida were already actively investigating the strange disappearance of six members of the Special Olympics delegation from Haiti after they checked into their hotel rooms on Monday, June 6, in preparation for the 2022 Special Olympics Games in the Sunshine State, but were never seen again.

Disney has played a valuable creative role in making this year’s Special Olympics Games as magical as possible. Not only has the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort served as one of the venues for this year’s Games, but Disney Live Entertainment also produced the event’s Opening Ceremony.

The six delegates who disappeared last Monday left behind all their luggage and belongings after turning in their hotel keys. Special Olympics USA Games on Monday released a statement saying that five of the six men missing do not have a disability, while the sixth individual does have an intellectual disability.

“The reason for their departure from the Games is currently unknown,” organizers for the Special Olympics USA Games said in their statement. “The well-being of these delegates is our foremost concern. Local authorities have indicated they have no reason to believe the health and safety of any of the individuals are at risk. To expand the reach and effectiveness of law enforcement’s efforts to locate these individuals, they have been reported as missing persons.”
