Fights are a big part of a Walt Disney World vacation for many guests. Luckily for many guests wanting to travel to Walt Disney World, airlines are working to make that more accessible than before.

Southwest Airlines recently announced more non-stop flights heading to Orlando International Airport. It was recently announced that guests from Cincinnati, Ohio, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, can now book non-stop flights to Orlando International Airport.

Guests traveling out of Cincinnati, Ohio, to MCO (Orlando International Airport) will have the option for a non-stop flight twice a week throughout November 4. This option is excellent for those wanting a quick fall getaway to Walt Disney World. Enjoy Halloween treats, EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival, and more.

The other big announcement from Southwest includes non-stop flights from Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Orlando International Airport. These flights are also offered twice weekly for those visiting Walt Disney World.

Southwest has been posting a lot lately if you are looking for good, cheap flight deals. Ensure you follow them on social media to stay up-to-date with the promotions and deals.

Orlando International Airport continues to grow and expand. With over forty airlines serving Orlando International Airport and the opening of another terminal last year, guests wanting to visit Orlando have even more choices when it comes to flights.

As MCO grows, so do the airlines and flights for guests to choose from. With more options, guests will hopefully find a flight that fits their schedule and budget.

With more options and serving some of the more prominent airlines, most guests flying to Orlando choose Orlando International Airport as their destination. This isn’t the only airport of choice, though.

With a short hour’s drive from Walt Disney World, guests can also choose to fly into Orlando Sandford International Airport. Sanford has fewer airlines to choose from, but with options such as Allegiant Air, many guests might be able to find flights for a lot cheaper than the big airlines such as Delta or United.

Choosing Flights

Flights have become a massive part of a vacation budget. Because of this, it is essential to find flights that will work the best for your travel needs.

When looking for flights, make sure you check out not only budget-friendly sites but also make sure to go onto the airline’s site directly. Be flexible in your travel days, times, and even which airport you travel to in Orlando.

By making some slight adjustments, you might be able to find some great pricing, allowing you to have some extra fun money for your vacation.

Planning is a big part of a Walt Disney World vacation. This has become even more important in the last few years regarding flights. You don’t want to wait until the last minute to decide. Instead, start looking as soon as pricing is released (typically six months out). Doing this will not only allow you extra time to budget but will also allow you to get the best flight times.

We hope more airlines will continue to provide direct flights to Orlando throughout the year, making getting to the magic even more accessible than ever before.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
