After Initial Shutdown, Disney World Reveals What’s Next for Starbucks

For many Disney fans, coffee is just as much a part of the morning routine as rope dropping Space Mountain. Over the past decade, Starbucks has cemented itself as a fixture inside Walt Disney World, transforming what was once a simple cup of Nescafe into a vacation must-have. Whether it’s a cold brew before trekking through Animal Kingdom or a latte to keep energy up for EPCOT fireworks, Starbucks has become a staple of the Disney experience.

The West Side Returns

This summer, guests got an answer to the question many were asking: what’s happening with the closed Starbucks at Disney Springs’ West Side? After shutting its doors in March for a top-to-bottom redesign, the location has finally reopened, showing off a brand-new look.

The updated space features a sleek design, big windows, and plenty of greenery, making the café feel more open and inviting. Inside, colorful murals of animals and flowers add to the fresh, vibrant feel. A massive world map mural ties it all together, creating a spot that feels both relaxing and modern.

More importantly for frequent visitors, Disney tackled the one issue that plagued the location before: crowd control. The reworked layout includes a dedicated mobile order pickup area, allowing guests to grab their coffee faster without clogging the main line. At 4,000 square feet, this remains one of the largest Starbucks locations at Walt Disney World and is now open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Why Fans Care

Guests have already shared excitement over the reopening. Some called it an essential part of their day, while others admitted they simply couldn’t imagine a trip without their morning Starbucks run. For many, these coffee stops aren’t just about caffeine—they’re about comfort, consistency, and even a little collecting. Starbucks’ Disney-exclusive “Been There” mugs and tumblers are some of the most popular souvenirs around.

Starbucks Across Walt Disney World

For anyone planning their next visit, Starbucks is easy to find. Each park has its own themed café: Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom, Connections Café at EPCOT, Trolley Car Café at Hollywood Studios, and Creature Comforts at Animal Kingdom. Disney Springs also has two full-service locations, including the now-refurbished West Side store and the Marketplace walk-up window.

With its major refresh complete, Starbucks at Disney Springs is once again serving as a go-to stop for coffee lovers. For fans, it’s more than just a reopening—it’s reassurance that caffeine and Disney magic will keep flowing side by side.
