Disneyland Finally Removes Block From Adventureland Theme Park Area
One of Disneyland Park’s original storefronts has emerged from months behind scaffolding, as Disneyland Resort wraps up a quiet facade refurbishment in Adventureland.
The Beginning Of A Months-Long Project at Disneyland

Construction first appeared in early August at the Adventureland Bazaar, a merchandise location that has been part of the land since Disneyland Park opened on July 17, 1955. Scrim fabric and scaffolding covered much of the building’s upper half, including the sign displaying the store’s name.
Disneyland Resort never publicly addressed the work. That’s typical for the Southern California Disney park, which rarely comments on projects that don’t force closures or seriously affect the guest experience. The shop stayed open the entire time, even with scaffolding hanging over its front.
The Barriers Come Down in Adventureland

WDWNT reported on October 7 that the scaffolding and scrim had been removed from the Adventureland Bazaar and shared a photo of the finished facade on social media:
No major changes appear to have been made. The straw roof, paint, and props all look refreshed, though, addressing years of sun exposure and weather fading.

One side of the second-floor balcony is decorated with plants, flowers, and shelves. The other side features a beige balcony with green shutters and a window displaying fake advertisements for “Oriental Tattooing by Prof. Harper Goff” and “Banjo Lessons.”
Disneyland Resort hasn’t said whether other parts of Adventureland, or the rest of the original Southern California Disney park, will get similar refurbishments.

Disney Dining will report any additional developments in Adventureland at Disneyland Park, as well as updates on projects at Disney parks in the United States and around the world!
