Disneyland Paris Confirms Closure of Adventureland and Fantasyland Areas
Portions of two classic lands at Disneyland Park (Paris) are partially walled off this week, as small refurbishment projects pop up without warning. Only sections of walkways and seating are affected, and both lands remain open to Disney Park guests.
Photos Reveal the Work

On October 21, X user @DLPReport shared several photos of what they called “pop up” refurbishment projects in two lands at Disneyland Paris Resort, posting:

The first two images show plywood barriers in Fantasyland. They block part of a guest walkway and a seating area near Dumbo the Flying Elephant. The construction walls are pink, a fitting choice for the land, though they stand out sharply against the surrounding scenery.

The other two photos show beige-and-brown plywood barriers in Adventureland. One set of walls sits closest to Captain Hook’s Pirate Ship, the Jolly Roger, which is moored near Skull Rock on Adventure Isle. The second set is nearest one of the land’s dining locations.
Disneyland Paris Resort hasn’t publicly announced any of these projects. That is standard practice when construction doesn’t force an attraction or restaurant to close, and nothing in the photos suggests that either land has closed entirely. The headline’s reference to a closure applies only to the blocked sections.
What Guests Should Expect

Despite the detours, operations in Fantasyland and Adventureland are continuing as scheduled. Visitors planning a trip to Europe’s only Disney vacation destination over the next few weeks to a few months may encounter barriers that disrupt walkways and appear in vacation photos. Because the work is unannounced, there’s no timeline for when the walls will come down.
The Disneyland Paris Resort app and website carry the most up-to-date information on temporary closures, so checking before a visit is a good idea.
