Disney World Closes the Door on More Guests as Holiday Tickets Disappear

Walt Disney World is shutting more guests out of a popular holiday celebration, and the latest ticket restrictions could force some families to change their November vacation plans.

The resort’s Christmas season is getting underway, bringing festive entertainment, special character experiences, and limited-time celebrations to its four theme parks.

However, not every holiday offering is available with regular admission.

Some of Disney World’s biggest seasonal experiences require expensive additional tickets, and purchasing those tickets is becoming increasingly difficult for certain dates.

Now, another popular November event has officially sold out, leaving visitors with fewer opportunities to attend.

Disney World Holiday Celebrations Come With a Catch

Christmas at Walt Disney World offers plenty of reasons to visit, but the resort’s most exclusive holiday experiences often come at an additional cost.

Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, while Disney’s Hollywood Studios offers Disney Jollywood Nights.

Both celebrations require separate admission and feature entertainment that regular daytime visitors cannot experience without purchasing event tickets.

Jollywood Nights officially returned on November 7, offering five hours of nighttime entertainment, specialty food, and unique character encounters.

However, the event is already experiencing significant ticket demand.

As previously reported, multiple Disney World Christmas events sold out before the holiday season began.

Now, another date has joined that growing list.

Disney World Confirms Another November Sellout

According to WDW News Today, Disney Jollywood Nights tickets have officially sold out for November 16, 2026.

The latest sellout follows the previously announced November 28 sellout, which affects visitors traveling during Thanksgiving weekend.

November 7 and November 14 had also sold out.

That brings the total to four sold-out November dates, leaving just November 21 and November 23 available during the month, as of November 8.

For families planning to attend Jollywood Nights on November 16 or November 28, purchasing admission for those dates is no longer an option.

However, the restrictions do not mean Disney’s Hollywood Studios is closing to regular daytime visitors.

Guests can still enter the park with valid regular admission during its scheduled operating hours.

The sellouts only affect the separately ticketed nighttime celebration.

Disney World Guests Pay Nearly $200 for Holiday Access

Disney Jollywood Nights tickets cost between $169 and $199 per person, plus tax.

At the highest advertised price, a family purchasing four full-price tickets would spend $796 before taxes.

Disney offers $10 discounts for children ages three through nine, eligible Annual Passholders, and Disney Vacation Club Members.

The party runs from 7:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m., although ticket holders can enter Hollywood Studios beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Guests receive access to exclusive entertainment, characters, and select attractions.

However, food and beverages generally cost extra.

Disney has introduced an extensive holiday food lineup across Hollywood Studios, including themed desserts and specialty drinks.

The new Checkin’ It Twice Lounge also offers another entertainment experience for party attendees.

Still, guests should account for additional spending beyond the ticket price.

Disney World Introduces New Holiday Experiences

Jollywood Nights features returning entertainment alongside several additions for 2026.

Disney Holidays in Hollywood brings back Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, while the Glisten! skating show features new character appearances.

Disney has also introduced George Sanderson and Needleman from Monsters, Inc. (2001).

Meanwhile, guests can enjoy holiday entertainment, specialty dining, and character experiences throughout the park.

Disney has made additional changes to Hollywood Studios’ Christmas offerings, giving visitors more seasonal activities to consider.

However, attending Jollywood Nights also requires understanding the event’s rules.

Disney has confirmed that certain outdoor holiday entertainment may be affected by weather, even when the party continues as scheduled.

For families spending hundreds of dollars, those details matter.

More Disney World Holiday Dates Remain Available

Despite the latest sellouts, visitors still have opportunities to attend Jollywood Nights.

Remaining dates reported available on November 8 include November 21 and 23, December 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, and 23, and January 3 and 5, 2027.

This marks the first time Jollywood Nights has extended into January.

However, availability could change as additional guests purchase tickets.

Visitors should also review Hollywood Studios’ adjusted attraction schedules before planning their visit, particularly on party nights.

With four November dates already sold out, families who want to attend may need to act sooner rather than later.

For those who cannot change their travel dates, the opportunity may already be gone.

Do you think Disney Jollywood Nights is worth its nearly $200 ticket price, or would you rather enjoy the holiday offerings included with regular admission?
