Universal Orlando Resort has officially revealed its plans for the 2026 holiday season, but one popular Christmas experience was noticeably missing from the announcement.
On October 19, Universal shared new details about its upcoming holiday celebrations, including returning entertainment, festive decorations, and special experiences throughout its theme parks.

The celebrations will begin November 14, 2026, and continue through January 3, 2027.
While Universal confirmed that Grinchmas will return to Islands of Adventure, the resort didn’t mention one of its most popular holiday dining experiences: The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast.
With Christmas festivities less than a month away, guests are now left wondering whether the experience will return this year.
Universal Confirms Grinchmas Is Returning
There’s plenty of good news for fans of the Grinch.
Universal confirmed that Seuss Landing will once again transform into a Christmas celebration inspired by the famous Dr. Seuss character.
The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular will return with several daily performances, bringing the story of the Grinch and the Whos to life.
Guests will also have opportunities to meet the Grinch, interact with Whoville residents, and visit the Who-ville tree lot.
Meanwhile, Universal Studios Florida will welcome back Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, which is scheduled to run daily at 5:30 p.m.

Epic Universe will also participate in the festivities, with holiday decorations and seasonal offerings planned for SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and other themed areas.
However, despite the extensive holiday announcement, Universal didn’t provide any information about the Grinch Breakfast.
What Happened to the Grinch Breakfast?
The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast has traditionally been one of Universal Orlando’s most sought-after holiday experiences.
Held at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous in Islands of Adventure, the separately purchased breakfast gives families a chance to enjoy a themed meal while meeting the Grinch and other Whoville characters.
Unlike the regular meet-and-greet, the breakfast requires an advance reservation.
During the 2025 holiday season, reservations opened October 8, with adults paying $58.99 plus tax and children ages 3 through 9 paying $32.99 plus tax.
That means a family of four with two adults and two children paid $183.96 before taxes, not including admission to Islands of Adventure.
Interestingly, Universal still has a dedicated Grinch Breakfast menu available on its official website.
The menu features dishes such as The Grinch’s Pancakes, Green Eggs & Ham, Martha May’s Chicken & Waffles, and Cindy-Lou Who’s Belgian Waffles.
However, the existence of that menu doesn’t necessarily mean the breakfast will return in 2026.
Universal hasn’t confirmed new dates, pricing, or reservation availability.
Another Grinch Experience Is Already Available
Although the breakfast remains unconfirmed, Universal has announced the return of its Holiday Tour.
The approximately two-and-a-half-hour experience includes opportunities to meet the Grinch, Max, and Santa Claus.
Guests also receive reserved seating for the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular and optional reserved viewing for Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s.

Tickets start at $69.99 per person, with reservations already available.
For families hoping to meet the Grinch, the tour provides another option. However, it doesn’t offer the same character dining experience that guests have enjoyed in previous years.
With Universal’s holiday celebrations beginning November 14, there’s still time for the resort to make another announcement.
Universal has not confirmed that the Grinch Breakfast is canceled, so fans shouldn’t assume the experience is gone for good.
For now, guests planning their Christmas vacations will have to wait and see whether one of Universal Orlando’s favorite holiday traditions makes its return.
