Two separate battery reports came in from the EPCOT area of Walt Disney World Resort within roughly 12 hours, one late Wednesday night and another shortly after the park opened Thursday morning. Here’s what the public scanner information shows.
A Late-Night Call Near the EPCOT Resort Hotels

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office received the first 911 call at 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7. Central Florida law enforcement monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the scanner report on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing:
🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 10/7/26 11:35 PM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: EPCOT Resorts Boulevard Resort Area

EPCOT closed at 9:00 p.m. that evening, so the theme park had been empty of guests for more than two hours by the time of the call. The report was also logged under the “EPCOT Resort Area” rather than the park itself. That zone covers Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts (owned and operated by Marriott), Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort.

The attached Google Maps screenshot places the call near Crescent Lake, which is reachable via a walkway connecting several of those hotels. Still, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office often uses that address as a generic marker for emergency calls in the area, so it’s unclear where the incident actually happened.
A Second Report Inside the Park

At 10:23 a.m. on October 8, less than 12 hours after the first call, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received another report of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone).” @WDWActiveCrime posted:
🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 10/8/26 10:23 AM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney’s EPCOT

This time, the call was tied to EPCOT itself rather than the resort area. The map pin sits at the park’s main entrance, which is a generic address frequently used by law enforcement for the theme park, so the exact spot inside EPCOT where the incident took place isn’t known.
What We Don’t Know

Nothing has been released about who was involved in either incident. It’s also unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt or removed from the property. Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has commented publicly. More details could surface if a police report is published or criminal charges are filed.
EPCOT appeared to be running normally on Thursday, October 8.
